Great matchup! I look for lotsa points in this one! Bearcats win 49-48 in 3 OTs!
-
Agreed! I'm looking for that too, "...uk9".

I know I gotta 'cats-eye' down here. I just can't seem to find the darn thing!

Does my post in the Garrard / Belfry thread have anything to do with it? If so sorry.
You nailed it, "Dad"

Does Garrard County's 0-10 lifetime record against Somerset have something to do with it?
That is a factor, but not THE reason.
-
The physical size up front is my biggest concern. AverageJoe, you and I talked after the Danville game how the Admirals were able to get big and wear down Garrard. The Garrard defense has made some adjustments since then, going with more quickness. But my biggest worry is that Belfry will lean on Garrard with 15 play drives where they consistently get 4 yards per carry and keep the Lions offense off the field. I'm sure that is something being worked on this week by the Garrard staff.
You think? Isn't that an obvious key to the game?

I plan on attending the LexCath/Highlands game but I am pulling for Garrard County. I can feel the excitement in Lancaster here in TitleTown and I am certain there will be quite a few Rebels in attendance. Good luck Lions. I believe in you guys!!!!!
Thanks for all the support from throughout the area! We are luvin' the ride!

For reasons I won't go into here, Go Holy Cross or, for that matter, any team that plays the Jumpers!

Scott County players have been talking smack all season long on the Lexington tv stations' Friday night scores/coverage about how they can't wait to play Trinity. Hope it happens.

Garrard's O figures to take what the Devil's D gives them. Doubt they can do a good enough job defending both the run and pass to keep the Lions from winning this one. Garrard's D will be challenged by the Wing T. Make it a 34-20 GC victory.

Wayne County may be better than Garrard and Corbin. Look for them to win 1st roun game and maybe 2nd also.
Hide and watch the GC Lions in playoffs! You and others may well be surprised. I'm just sayin' ......

Lotsa worthy candidates - Mark Scenters @ Garrard County has gotta be in the mix.

Congrats! Terrific player!

Central too much for Cats.

I certainly like the 'Rocks!

Bell is much too strong. Blowout!

"So, why can't I wear the white cap?"

Huge test for Boyle on the road at John Hardin tomorrow evening. Of course, the Rebs present the home team with a big challenge as well. Btw, I can't imagine that the Lakers of Russell County aren't among the top ten teams in 4A for 2011.

Garrard has more speed and quicks - Lincoln has more size and strength along the line - good matchup
-
Too much head for this cap!

Anyone got the final score? Thanks.

BC was a #3 I think?
Yep - Garrard was 4 seed that year, Boyle was 1 and Lex Cath 2 - Lions beat Newport ( 1 seed) then lost a close one to LexCath the next week
