IMO, Garrard Co should be ahead of Bell Co.. At 4-1, with their only loss being a 1 point loss, 31-30, to a ranked and undefeated 4a Shelby Co team, should have merited them more consideration, imo..
Z - Z -Z -Z ... the Lions aren't the only sleepers! Don't waken any of these pollster "experts"! Z -Z - Z _Z:idunno:

GC wins big. 44-18

Does not really matter who is best in August, huh? They are playing really well right now.

You must be from a single-child family and have parents that love you very much.:idunno:

That's hard to call, PB98. Mason ran through their schedule when Boone was behind center. When O'mara was behind center they struggled with a feisty Lewis County team that failed to make the playoffs, got mauled by Russell, and lost a tight one with Fleming. Either way I think Mason pulls this one out by a TD or less.
Won't happen. Estill will win this one. Make it 42-12.

Bourbon 40-0

South Warren has played a very weak schedule. Who is can say/know if they are just a good team or one of the best in 3A. Me thinks maybe that is why we have the playoffs? Ha!

Terrific point guard for our fierce rival. Wish him nothing but the best @ LMU.

PP,
The reason there wasn't much talk about the Garrard/Bourbon game was the last four games the score was a combined 119-16, so no matter what people say on here there still was some doubt in their mind they could win the game. The people of Garrard County should thank Chuck Smith for taking the Boyle County job because it would have been the same song and dance at Garrard this year if Coach Smith had stayed at Madison Central.
With that being said......the "hide and watch" mentality shouldn't come into play when you have a quality coach running your program. People need to realize most of the same kids are playing this year that played last year......the difference is they have a coach that knows how to coach and demands and gets the repect from the kids. I've watched most of these kids grow up and I'm so glad they are once again having fun playing football and becoming men.
Nobody at Boyle should hold their breathe for any 'thanks' from Garrard on any sports related issues, if you know what I mean.

It wasn't meant as an insult or compliment. I'm talking about here on BGP. I'm not even sure if there was even a Garrard County/Bourbon County Prediction thread. I congratulate every Garrard County victory and offer words of encouragement when I see Garrard County loses mainly because I really like gchs_uk9 a lot. I want to see Garrard County do well under Jerry Perry but how am I supposed to know that Garrard County has risen to the level of dominating Bourbon County if no one is on here saying "we're going to dominate Bourbon County when we play them?"
I get my football information from this forum. Best forum in the state for high school football. That's all I am saying. I bet this week Garrard County will get discussed a lot more.
I have noticed that your comments over the years always support our football team/program. We appreciate your attention to what is going on here.

Because no one talks much about Garrard County football
Depends on who/where you are, I guess. We talk a lot about it in these parts. Don't believe your statement was meant as a compliment - - was it PP? Lol - Hide and watch us continue to impress.

As always, expect a war. IMO, Garrard is the better team this year and figures to have an advantage in speed at the skilled positions. Lincoln, on the other hand, has been stronger in the trenches in recent match ups. I believe it is a game that the Lions should, and will, win. Make it a 22-7 Homecoming victory.
-
Agreed. And may not be getting better anytime soon.
Ads will get most of the kids that quit the squad as juniors last season back for their senior season. They will be STRONG in 2A in 2014. Certainly, a top 10 team.
-
I've heard that a certain basketball player is practicing with the team and could "assist" greatly.
tt! tt! Terrific, talented athlete.
-
Squad will number in the 40-45 range. This will be a good season for the Lions. Look for them to be much stronger than 2012 and 2013 if they stay healthy. Current junior class may be a more talented group collectively than the junior class that lost that tough semi-state game to Belfry in 2011.
-
Beware of the GOLDEN LIONS in 2014.

lol! all of us in Lion Nation know how good he is.
BTW, very few people in the state realize what a good player Holman is... -
In Conway and Taylor, Lincoln has 2 of the very best juniors in KY and they are surrounded by several teammates (also juniors) that are terrific role players. Tyler, if he is on target, shoots it as well as anybody and Elkins is a budding star for the Rebs. Boyle is the better defensive team. Great game! Pats win by 5-8 points.
-
In the 45th district, the 2 time defending 12th region champion Lincoln County Lady Pats have to play the All A Classic runner-up Danville Lady Ads...on the Lady Ads home floor. That's gonna be tough.
Yep! That was a tough game for both teams.

Nice call on the hiring of Coach Perry.....I will be the first to admit that I never thought it would happen!!!! Congratulation!
Hide and Watch. I told you it would happen.
-
Hide and Watch!

If it's the person I'm hearing it is, the school will be getting a great teacher and coach!
To repeat what I said when this process began - "Hide and Watch" - even Booby will be thrilled with the outcome!
