It will come down to Prestonsburg and Belfry...for some reason I was thinking Russell was in Region 4.

I think Region 4 comes down to Prestonsburg, Russell, and Belfry. I'm not overlooking Lloyd if that is what you mean...aren't they in region 3?

They are down talent wise but coaching goes a long way, esp. with coaches like Holcomb and Chapman at the high school level. A lot of schools would love to have the talent Breathitt has in down years though. They will have enough talent to win their district and with their coaching staff make a run in the playoffs IMO. Will they win the region this year? Probably not...I think that comes down to Prestonsburg, Russell, and Belfry.

I explained it after their ranking so you will need to go back and read it but to save you the time I will tell you in one word-COACHING. Breathitt has one of the top head coaches in Eastern KY in Holcomb and IMO the top assistant coach in Eastern Kentucky in Chapman.

I will rate my personal 2A Rankings out of the East, and in that order are the chances I rate them of making it to Louisville. 1.Prestonsburg-This could be the year for the Blakcats...must beat Belfry 2.Russell-The loss of Gross will hurt but they will still be a top contender 3.Belfry-Best 2A program in the state right now, next year they will return to the top IMO but they are one year away but I hope the Pirates win title again 4.Lloyd Memorial-The word in NKY is that they may have their best team in a long time and NKY produces great talent 5.Breathitt County-Breathitt has some holes to fill but Holcomb abd Chapman will have the Bobcats ready come playoff time and they could make a big run 6.Middlesboro-Great program that has been down lately and returns a lot of experience but is still very young...they will be dangerous in 06 and 07. 7.Fleming County-I know they have a good offense but they still have to win the big one and I say Russell takes them out again. 8.Newport-I don't know too much about them but you can't overlook NKY teams. I wold guess that they will have to beat Lloyd to advance. 9.Leslie County-The Eagles have a good QB, but they play in a tough region and they will make the 2nd round at best. 10.Shelby Valley-The next 2A powerhouse from Region 4 IMO, though it will take some time. They play in tough district and region and won't do much this year but are defintely a team to keep a eye on in the future and will be much improved from last year Teams such as Sheldon Clark, Morgan County, Estill County, and East Carter may deserve to be on the list but I don't know anything about them and what they have returning.

Ft. Campbell over Prestonsburg

Pikeville's would have to be Belfry but it could also be Pburg if they played every season. District games would have to go to Paintsville and Hazard.

They just figure that you allready know everything.
