  1. Ison's pay lake is no longer owned by Mary Ison and if it was it is not in Isonville!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is in Stephen's Ky right across from Big 4 grocery at the intersection of 409 which is approximately 9 or 10 mile's from Isonville, and that's a fact!!!:D

You are right I did struggle with those lines of demarcation as well as map reading class. I do agree it is in Stephens, just making a joke. I will just put on my Keith Whitley album sit back and chill.

  2. Yes, because the Charlestons from South Williamson have been known to have named Greasy Ridge!

I am impressed, I didn't know you even knew about the Charleston's from South Williamson or the Williamson's from South Charleston. Did you know there was even a family of South's with relatives in both Williamson and Charleston? This is all so confusing. The game however will be a good test to see how well Elliott is playing right now.

  3. Yes I did, the world's finest in my opinion. My guide and I used to hunt at a local lake as well until they posted most of it due to a golf course. Swore it off too! With regards to Lewis, one of my most memorable days afield was at the blessed Lewis Co. retreat with that guide. Sore ribs and all.;)

I heard about a guy that shot a "yolk" in Lewis County from 75 yds away with a shotgun. Good memories, thank you Lord. As for the game Lewis beat Raceland and I think they have a quality coach in Hampton. Probably not enough firepower however to slow the Royals. I would guess the Hill by 15.

  4. I'm peachy, thanks for asking, won't be making a trip to Lewis County. Swore that place off when Meade Paper Co. sold a particular hunting parcel I'm fond of. Some of my dearest friends are from Lewis. With that said, I'd guess, barring some of the same officiating that caused Lewis' demise against Deming, the Royals will win by 12. Good Luck to Coach Fraley and the boys!

You just had quality guide service in Lewis County.

  5. Well let's just get started, shall we?

First, I have identified myself numerous times. No one (that gives a hoot) doubts my identity. You, on the other hand, choose not to reveal yours. Not a problem, but you really ought to be careful up there on that high horse.

Second, I did not lay this season at the feet of two people. Either your ability to digest the written word is lacking, or you intentionally took my post for something that it was not. My words "I think Queen and Terry are playing with two more handicaps" do not speak about those handicaps, much less indicate that the handicaps are individual people. When you try to read my mind, please put your glasses on first.

Third, I cannot possibly overstate how little I value your opinion, so I guess we'll call that one a push.

Fourth, if you don't like my posts, feel free to exercise the "Ignore" feature. My fingers will continue to grace the keyboard, regardless of what you read into my posts. On second thought, knowing that you are bothered by something I did not say makes it all the more likely that you will continue to be heartbroken.

And you said I had a way with words. I aspire to be just half the orator that you are my dear lady. I will catch up with you at a game you attend and introduce myself. I think we have many of the same acquaintances.

  6. I've accused no one of bias...not on the part of the media nor of those coaches who will vote on the matter. Neither am I campaigning for any player, although I readily admit my own bias.

This entire discussion for me revolves around the only article I've read to date about the matter, the Cats Pause season preview, in which the author described Rebecca Gray as the clear favorite for the title of Miss Basketball and chose to illustrate his suggestion by citing her stats. What was obvious to me was his failure to demonstrate that at least one other candidate had better figures...and I suspect there are others. How difficult would it have been to do some elementary research for such an article? And how does one know just who is the favorite? Did he conduct a poll?

I would further point out...and I am open for correction on the matter...that most of those who will cast a vote will have never seen those players about whom they are supposed to make a judgment. That can't be avoided and I don't fret about it. What is a problem, and I would hope that others more closely associated with the process would share my concerns, is that there are coaches who will undoubtedly cast their vote based entirely upon what they read in Cats Pause. They should have been given more accurate and comprehensive information. Those players who are eligible deserve a more careful and thorough consideration.

Our own bias was what I was referring to. If my team has a player worthy of consideration then I want him or her to win and I will debate to that affect. As for how votes are cast, no matter what the information is and whether they read it or not, some will always pull the single ticket lever.
