Nice bounce back win for the Birds after yesterday. On the mound for the Birds - Towles, Muench, & Daley. Rizzo 4-5, Reller 2-3, Muench 2B, Towles HR & 3 RBI's. On the mound for the Raiders - Renda, Helmer & Campbell.

Towles pitched the first two innings. 4 k's, no hits, no runs. Maybe they're going to use him some today against Ryle.

 

Muench gave up a dinger to Jones.

 

Head didn't pitch bad, things didn't go well in the field for him.

Muench had 5 K's over 2 innings. Head pitched the final three. Highlands was up 3-2 in the bottom of the 7th only to give up the other 2 runs to hits and errors.

Bird cage liner this morning said it was his 4th dinger.

The 4th came on Monday against Calvary Christian.

Kind of suprised Highlands would throw their ace in this one, but good win for the tigers. Is that 5 bombs for Muench now? That kid can hit!

They only threw Towles 2 innings. Muench threw 2 innings and Head threw 3 innings. Yes, that is Muench's 5th.

Muench with the win giving up 3 hits with 6 K's, but problems with the balk tonight. Head with the save. Hits by Towles, Popovich and Muench. The Birds play Holmes on Thursday at Mieken.

Good pitching by Reller and Head. Timely hitting by Rizzo, O'Brien, Muench and Liggett got the job done today. Nice job for Rizzo being 3/3 today.

Good pitching performance from Towles today who went 5 1/3 innings only giving up 1 run on 5 hits, 6K's. Muench closed out with 2 K's. Offensively for the Birds - Reller 2 hits, RBI and Muench 2B, RBI. Highlands plays Pendleton Co. tomorrow at Pendleton. Birds now 6 -3.

It was at Highlands.

The pitching didn't work for the Birds tonight. I think Boone County had 16 hits. Can't remember all of the them but Farris was 2-4 with a HR, Reed 3-4 and Lokesak HR. Boone started out with Wander pitching but after he walked 3 and hit a batter he was replaced wth Houlehan who got the job done. Offensively for Highlands, Newman 2B, Muench 2-2, HR.

Nice comeback win for the Birds today after the bad loss yesterday. In Muench's first start of the year he pitched 7 innings giving up 4 hits, 5 K's, 0 walks and 1 ER. Had a shutout going into to the 7th and gave up a HR. Key hits for the Birds today were Muench(HR) and Watson(2B). Highlands plays Boone Co. on Thursday at home. Highlands now 5 - 2.

No dominating pitching for the Birds today. Great performance by Scott pitcher Jordan Adkins who held the Birds to only 2 hits.

It was a tight game going into the 5th with the score at 0/0, but the Birds pitching gave out. Jeremy Conner pitched a good game for NCC with 8 strikeouts.

Birds get their first loss of the season. They are now 3-1. Next up for Highlands is Cov Cath tomorrow.
