  1. I hope a Boyle County affiliate did not do this too Mitchell like stated before. I would think Boyle County would want Mitchell to play. I f Mitchell dose not play and Boyle leaves with a win then Boyle will always have to here this explanation.. ( Boyle County wins but might have lost if Highlands would have had Mitchell.) Now do you want to win a state title under those terms?

STATE CHAMP - This had nothing to do with Boyle County, that was an irrevelant post. This was to do with the KHSAA.

  2. What was Mueller suppose to do???? The court said he could play so he let him play. Now the court says he can't play so Mueller won't play him until this gets overturned again by the end of the week. If I was Mitchell's dad and a court said my son could play and Mueller wouldn't play him I would sue Highlands. What was Mueller suppose to do???????

It was more complicated than that and both parties knew it. Mueller knew the whole time that the if the appeals were overturned this could happen and both parties knew the appeals would keep coming so it was a huge caculated risk. Also I would like to see where a court would favor an upset dad over a prominent coach who doesn't want to jeopardize his team.

  3. I just got back from Highlands and the rumours are flying. There were 2 lawyers in our group who said that the appeals judge who ruled against Mitchell today was from Boyle land. There are 2 Northern Ky appeals judges and it wasn't one of them. i can't believe Smith would stoop so low. Go Birds

You yourself said these are rumors, so you go out on limb and blame Smith for something that I'm sure he had nothing to do with or at least none of us would know if he did. I'm sure he has been practicing all week and watching film in hopes to win instead of being on the phone with a laywer.

  4. I've asked it once and I'll ask it again. Does the KHSAA ever, EVER, consider these kids?

Yes, even though a small amount were hurt a larger amount was hurt when they got beat by an ineligible player.

The KHSAA gave fair warning early in the season. Take the blame to the coaches or parents or school but the KHSAA is only doing their job to protect the integrity of the sport by not allowing illegal transfers.

  5. The thinking behind this rule is dog doodoo. So they have to forfeit the regular season games because an ineligiable player played. Yet even though that ineligiable player played in the state tourney they dont have to forfeit those games. The KHSAA is talking out of both ends of their mouth with that rule.

I think it is ridiculous that they don't have to forfeit the playoff games, I mean they mean the same amount as the district games and they have to forfeit those.

Regardless, the best thing to do is to let the teams play w/o Mitchell.

It is a crummy way for a lot of teams to end their season losing to HHS, but there will never be a right answer for this.

It just needs stopped from the get go in the future and maybe this will allow the coaches in the future to JUST SAY NO.
