Like I said earlier, with the stories you see about fans and parents who get too involved and think they know more than the coaches, I think it is best for them to stay outside of the lines. You don't see parents come onto the baseball field after the game is over and many basketball gyms keep fans off of the court. Nothing wrong with mom giving little Johnny a hug and a kiss once he has left the field of play.

Probably not, I would guess either a safety issue or trying to limit the traffic on their track and the field. As a former player and coach, I think it is best that the parents and fans stay outside of the white lines.
