I'd be happy if we did away with most foreign aid.
:thumb: If we are such a hated nation throughout the world...stop funding every third world country in the world and see if the mindset changes any. It irritates me to no end.... :madman:

OK, so maybe this is already answered in a different thread somewhere...but why is he against wearing the flag pin? I am not a fan of his political view point but not sure I have ever heard the real reason. Similar to stories above, I have heard many things just not sure which is the read deal.

You do realize that we're in the minority!! But I wholeheartedly agree. I also have a problem with Josh Grobin (sp?) He wears me out!
I understand they (were/are) both wildly popular but neither of them can sing worth a dime. Like I said, even though he stinks on ice..I still find myself hearing Tom Petty songs and singing along!
-
Good Lord how has this list made it this far without someone mentioning Bob Dylan or Tom Petty.
Now I can listen to some Tom Petty, but his voice still stinks. Dylan on the other hand, that is vomit inducing!

I was replying to HHSDad on that part.
In my haste to once again tell you that you were wrong...I missed that!
-
You just underlined the wrong parts there. :thumb:
I did not underline it, but whatever. By the way, he had all of the reason needed to swim across that river...he was bet 3 dollars afterall!!!
Kidding of course, but its still a trumped up charge that will be dropped.

Sorry, BF, but I just don't see where the police have a leg to stand on.
thank you!

The best way...to not have one at all. Those are some digusting critters! :creepy:

No, it comes down to the fact that he needed to have the common sense to know that if he pulls a grand stunt like that in a very busy downtown waterway in front of thousands of exiting fans, somebosdy is bound to think he needed help. I just don'e see how anyone would not realize how horrible an idea that was. I've said it over and over in this thread: It's not about going swimming. It's about doing something that a reasonable person should know has the probability of being misinterpreted.
Just like it has been put many different ways in this thread. Him being arrested is a matter of legal or illegal activity. He did nothing illegal. Yes it was stupid, yes there COULD HAVE BEEN these accidents you speak of with responding units...but it didnt. The simple fact of the matter is...HE DID NOTHING ILLEGAL. Stupid is not a crime, doing foolish things that are LEGAL is not a crime. This is one of the most ridiculous cases going right now. It should be thrown out. This is why our stinkin legal system is in shambles, we allow this kind of garbage to go on.

No, you would be paid 12.00. You would win 10. 5-1 means for every dollar you bet you win 5 dollars. So if you bet two dollars you would win 10.

Contact the school and ask for Carolyn Smith (ADs office). She will either have them in the office or will be able to tell you were to get one. It is a two disk set and it sell for $30.
Thanks much! 30 bucks what a bargain for the highlights this year!! LOL.

Josh Sneed. http://www.joshsneed.com
I worked with him for a while and can call him a friend. Very good comedian, even better person. He is under the management group that does all of the Blue Collar guys, opens for them quite a bit and does many of his own headlining shows! Check him out!

As a conservative first...registered R next, I will never get tired of hearing Ronald Reagan.
I just wish the candidates we are putting forward this year acted and thought more like him!

Anyone have the contact info they could PM me to get one of these DVDs?? I would love to have one!!

So really, if you have an HD ready TV (which we do) all you would have to do is get an HD tuner?
Correct....I think. The reason I say I think...is because the last time I tried it, I still could not get the HD local access from Insight on my TVs that have built in tuners. I had to be hooked up to their HD/DVR box to get them at all. (Unless I use the antenna that is...) I do not believe the standard digital box even shows the HD channels in the guide. Could be wrong there but I dont think they do.
-
Are you saying you can't pick up the local network stations' HD signals with it?
Yes I can get the local HD signals with the antenna...but Insight also has the local channels in HD, so I just use those. I was duped into thinking that I was going to get a lot of different channels via the antenna when in reality its the locals, about 8 PBS and other useless channels to me. The only positive thing about it...you can still see Bob Ross and his little happy trees!

As for the type of HDTV to purchase...I can only tell you this. I purchased a $2900.00 Samsung about 3 years ago, 720p/1080i. It is amazing, have had no trouble with it at all. Since then, I have purchased 2 Vizios...a 32($549.00) and a 42($899.00). The 32 is 720p/1080i and the 42 is 1080p. My almost 3K purchase several years ago did not come with a built in HD tuner, both Vizios did. Side by side...you cannot tell me that any HDTV on the market has a better picture than these Vizios...EXCEPT ONE! The Sony XBR has the best picture of any HDTV on the market by far...but you are going to be paying in that 3K range again if you want anything bigger than a computer monitor!
Also on the HD over the air deal...I have a cheap little antenna that I bought from Radio Shack to get those local channels. I also have Insight HD package. Unless you are into having 8 PBS and 8 other useless channels dont bank on using that as your HD access. Insights package is not bad as far as price goes, and they have all the local channels (greater cincy area).

If he is still there, which it appears he probably wont be...I really think Rudy would be my vote at this point. McCain and Huckabee are not the conservatives they claim to be. Rudy certainly has his issues in my mind as well. My real vote would have been for Thompson if he had shown a little initiative once his campaign got going...but we all know what happened there. This was all a long rant to get to...it will most likely be a Romney vote in November!

Congrats young man, you have much to be proud of!

Uh...no, they are not messing with you!

Terry O'Brien's biggest catch and maybe the play of the game came on 3rd and 7 on Highlands first drive of the game. Clay Cecil throws a great ball under pressure and Terry picks up a critical first down which keeps the drive going for the first score of the game. Dont get me wrong the td before half was a dagger but that first catch and what it emphasized set the tone for the game. Great Win Birds.
Couldnt agree more. That was absolutely critical to keep the train rolling. Birdsfan...you havent heard his name much because of the freight train running game. When you move the ball 7-9 yards a down, that passing game tends to take a back seat.

Terry O'Brian (#29) broke his ankle.
I saw that avatar, great tribute BF. Thanks for the info, I never did hear exactly what the outcome was. Poor kid, as if the rain wasnt bad enough, he had an even bigger rain on his parade!
-
I read through this entire thread, but I might have missed it...Is 29 going to be OK? Whatever took place, it appeared he was in pretty good pain after being brought off the field. After that thing of beauty at the half, and the way he played all year, I certainly wish him the best in his recovery.

Beat yes, but wouldn't say that Highlands "handled" Beechwood.
7-2 or whatever it ended up...thats handled my friend!
