The WRs Jason Hagan and Jordan Holman will both get a big look aided by attrition I think. They also had Sebastian Blue, Matthew Lococo and Cortney Jones Jr. that could see time as early as next year. I outlined some of this in an earlier post. Spring practice will be very competitive I imagine, but first there is a banquet coming up to celebrate 2023!!!
I would have said Holman, but he said off the freshman team and I don't believe Holman or Lococo every played on the freshman team.

Will anyone that played on the Frosh team start in 2024 for Trinity?
My guess is 2-3 of them. Just a rough guess
WR - Jason Hagan
LB - Sebastian Blue
TE - Stivers (not sure his first name - he's a beast)
But there's plenty for the coaches to pick from. A lot of talent.
Again, not sure there are many (maybe 2-3) Power 5 kids but a lot of really good high school talent.

Congrats Purples.
Not surprised they won; but over 300 yards to Cooper under 200 yards was a little surprising.
Deuce Bailey is a player.

Never really think much about these posts when I read them.
But I will say that I would love to see a Boyle County vs. Trinity game next weekend.
Hey @thegurumake it happen - the Bluegrass Preps Bowl!
And I don't know if CAL would lose to anyone but those two teams.

Hearing rumors of Adrian Morton.
Have heard the same rumblings. Would be a great hire for Manual.

Wow! Nice job Rocks.
Always had confidence in this team because of the seniors. I know the start wasn't great and Zane Johnson and the other greenies had to grow and improve - which they did.
A huge congrats to coach Cobb and the staff. The defensive coaches were outstanding all season and the offensive line really improved.
Now to Clint Sansbury - what a performance. He finished the season with over 1,300 yards and 26 TDs against that schedule is impressive.
Go Rocks! #28 is sweet.
Take a short break and let's get ready for #29. The roster is loaded and wait until you see what's coming!

Will be much closer than anyone expects. IMO
Have to remember that Zane Johnson is still a freshman. So will be plenty of jitters.
Excited to see it play out.

According to the stats provided by Trinity on the KHSAA site they only had 135 total yards and Douglass had 225 total yards, but as we all know the only number that matters is the final score on the scoreboard at the end of the game.
Yes, but the biggest stat was 0 INTs from Johnson.
He did not have a great game but was not picked off and the defense was outstanding when it needed to be. Heard a TV station saw Trinity had 10 tackles for a loss. The stats said 7 and 2 sacks!

If I'm not mistaken they beat Trinity and St. X on successive weekends (not sure of the order). I don't know who they beat before that. GRC had two great backs and ran the wing T to perfection.
Trinity has the ball in the red zone, GRC held on downs and then got two first downs to run out the clock. Was 28-20 - a great, great game.
And the finals was another great one. GRC won 28-21 and that Tim Hampton dude was a beast.

Tough for Ballard
Two years in a row leading in the semifinals at home late and then lose the game.
The Bruins really improved from the start of the season. Congrats!

Folks, that was a really, really good football game.
If you didn't see it then I would suggest you go to the WDRB app and watch it from start to finish. A big-time slugfest between two fantastic teams.
I thought Zane Johnson struggled a bit but he still threw two big TD passes for the Shamrocks. Trinity could not get the run going against the FD defense.
Trinity's defense was also outstanding. Some big plays from a lot of guys but have to say Brady McEnaney was super, Dane Morrow made plays all over the field but the other LB - Drew Davis - was the MVP for me. Had a ton of tackles, plus forced the fumble and recovered it in the fourth quarter.
Just a fun game all around. Congrats to coach Cobb!

KCD has a very solid QB, a 1,000-yard rusher and a WR with close to 1,000 yards
About the same with Raceland
I don't think this will be a blowout and could a very good KCD kicker be the difference?

Tilghman by a very close margin.

Run the ball for 150-plus yards here and that team wins.
Really think it's a toss up.
Last time, Ballard ran for over 100 but Station had close to 200.
Ballard has improved. Bruins 31, Station 28

Running clock in a hurry.

I know several of the players on McCracken and I like the attitude they are taking into this game. Now don't get me wrong, I know what's most likely inevitable in this one, but they really believe they are going to come out and surprise some people.
Expect a lot of things probably not seen on game film. While it won't matter much playing the caliber of a team that Trinity is, the Mustangs aren't coming to just lay down.
That's all you can want in a team in this position. Show up and battle, even though it's probably going to get ugly in a hurry. There's something to be said about giving all you have, even when you know it's not going to be enough. I've seen teams lay down in these games many times.
I expect nothing less. I remember Trinity scrimmaging McCracken a few years back and was a great program then and keeps growing and getting better.
I wouldn't be surprised to see them move the ball a little with a few trick plays and the like. I just doubt they can stop Trinity's offense. Was just look at the Mustangs stats on line and it looks like they gave up 440 yards of offense to Barren County. Rocks roll.

That is nine in a row in the playoffs for the Shamrocks over the Tigers.
And 19 of the past 23 in the series.
Impressive night for the Rocks.

Was close all night long. Congrats Bruins.

I did not expect this.
But not shocked. What is SK's record against Louisville teams? Maybe we should have all seen it coming.
Congrats FC!

Once again, no Jeremiah Linn…I’ll leave it at that.
Trinity did not look sharp at times. I hope they were just looking ahead.
I am told that season ticket holders will not get to purchase their seats. All seats will be up for grabs in the morning. I think this is shameful. After 15 years of loyalty. Many with a lot more years than that. A lot of grumbling over this in my section. Many of those have decided to sit it out for next week. As long as the seats sell, and they will, no one will care. Too bad.
Lynn is injured; was on crutches at the game.
And some real bad info on the season tickets. Not sure why anyone would even think they wouldn't sell tickets to season ticket holders. Was told that has always been the plan - like it is every season.

Ballard vs. Manual in week two will be a barnburner.

It was a very bad call, but we all know those happen.
I would love an official to explain to me one thing. I was in that corner on the floor and the official under the basket blew his whistle and looked like he was going to wave it off. The trail official counted the basket, never looked at the other two, and ran into the locker room. I just wonder what the proper procedure would be for that situation? It's not to run off the court. I remember the Sweet 16 game years ago and I remember being told the worst thing those officials did was leave the court. Just always curious on procedure.
Anyway, a great game, and two teams that will play again in two weeks (will be fun) and I would imagine again in March. Trinity better defensively, St. X had some role players hit some huge shots.
