offers as a junior are very deceiving. The only one of these three that have a chance at playing at UK is Miller. The other two either won't qualify or will take other offers.

I think the other 2 could very well play at UK. YOu dont know what will happen in the next year or so.

Just read an article on Rivals about AJ Stewart. He said that if he likes the campus that he is going to commit to UK at Midnight Madness. You never know though with higshchool kids what they will do.

Still yet it appears we may have 1 down with 4 more scholarships to go.

How did Zachary end up with the ball on that play? The Corbin DB had him on his back and went up for the INT, then Zachary came up from the gound with the ball in his hands, but I did not see how it happened. That was a great catch along with Ely's, which I believe was deflected by the Corbin LB. Bell has some very good receivers, but they have a lot of work to do to be an effective passing team though.

Zachery just made an amazing play. I couldnt explain it. Bell needs to be more efficent with their passing game. If Bell can complete 10 passes a game and only have to throw say 15 then we will be in good shape. I dont know how long we will run all the wing t stuff. I think Bell will go to more I-formation running then what theyve been doing.

I really felt like Bell missed a lot of great opportunities in this one. The pick inside the 10 yard line was costly. Then Bell fumbled inside the 2, which really hurt. Another big play was in the 3rd quarter when Corbin jumped offsides, but did get back in time and Bell hiked the football and ended up losing 8 yards.

Bell WR's made to of the best highschool catches Ive seen. Fist Zachery took the interception from a Corbin DB for an amazing catch! And then Chase Ely #87 caught a slant pass that was way behind him with his left hand. THose catches were amazing!

Dudley was heard on a Bourbville Radio Station sayin that Corbin's program wasn't too good. Wander what he thinks about it now!!!???

Dudley never said that Corbin didnt have a good program. He did say however, from what I understand, that if Corbin wants to consider themselves a great program and an elite program that dropping Bell from the schedule was basically a contradiction.

Corbin played their tales off and really had a good defense I felt like. They also didnt give up when they got down.

Once again Bell continues to shoot themselves in the foot throwing interceptions at the goal line and fumbling at the goal line. Bell is making way too many costly mistakes right now at this point.

When did he decide against Forrest Hill Prep in Lexington???

Ive heard since MMI closed down, or changed names or whatever happened, that he wasn't going to be in this area.

There are still conflicting reports on Moses as 07 or 08. And I've heard he's not a UK lock like has been implied quite a bit on here...

He confirmed in an interview that he is coming out in 07 and that hes enrolled in I believe Patterson Highschool in North Carolina, and is a heavy UK lean, if UK wants him.

Supposedly UK told him they wanted him, but would rather have him in 08 than 07. But it seems hes done made his decision to come out.

UK has an interesting situation. If reports are true AJ Stewart and Marshal Moses is theirs if they want them. The question is will UK take both or just one, and if just one, which one do we take? Both are considered great athletes who are PF's basically in SF's bodies. If UK does take both of them that still leaves us 3 more scholarships to work with in trying to get Patterson, Lucas and whoever else.

But, UK Im sure, also wants SFs Darius Miller or Scotty Hopson the following year and this may hurt with them.

With all the recruits there is so many different scenerios right now, itll be interesting to see how things shape out.

Well based on reports AJ Stewart is all but ours, and it seems hes already started working on Patterson. He also said he really likes Jai Lucas.

Also Coach Smith and Coach Hobbs had a good in-home visit with Patterson Monday night. Just this week alone Patterson is being visited by Tubby, Coach K, Skip Prosser, and Donovan.

Hopefully Tubby is doing good with him!

This would be a bad move cancelling this rivalry. I know Bell has won the last 3 years or 4 years I believe, but since Coach Hilton came to Bell Co. the rivalry has been back and forth pretty consistently.

It needs to keep on going, considering the balance in the rivalry.

Bell Co. approached Corbin about participating in the Cumberland Falls Pigskin Classic and even offered to sign a 4 year deal. That is apparently not going to happen as Corbin is slated to play Danville and Middlesboro will face Knox Central.

BTW the 2 QBs, Cashen and Nelson are cousins. I dont know how close, but they are family.

I believe everyone is ranking Bell too low. I think you could bump Bell up 3 more spots IMO. Bell is going to be very tough to beat come November!!

I don't know if you have seen Miller play, but I don't think you will be disappointed.

Ive heard great things from him. The only one of the 3 big time jrs Ive seen is Mackey. I think he is amazing, and his potential is through the roof. And I include Mackey in the category of a big time jr based on him getting so many offers, but still being an unknown because he didnt get to go to the big shoe camps this summer.

I believe next season we could be really good if we get the right peices in this recruiting class.

We have Crawford, Bradley, Morris (hopefully), Carter, Stevenson, Jasper, and Meeks. I think that group has a lot of potential. Now if we can just bring in a PF like Patterson, some other forwards, Stewart, Moses, or whoever else, and a great team-first guard like Lucas, we could have the right ingredients to be an amazing team!

Tubby and UK need this class to be a top 5 class, to get the talent level back where it needs to be, and to show he can actually recruit.

Top 5 isnt necessarily a priority. We could probably get Patterson, Lucas, Stewart, and someone else for example and not have a top 5 class, but somewhat meet the needs of the team.

I think we will end up getting Miller. I believe that UK will turn up the heat on him, I think we have a better shot at getting him than we do at getting Hopson. But who knows what could happen in the next year!

I definitly plan on watching Miller play this season at some point.

Another name on UK's radar is Darnell Gant. Hes a powerforward from LA. Supposedly Tubby is going to be paying him an in-home visit this week. It seems like Tubby is going to be making a ton of in-home visits in the next month.

I also hear that AJ Stewart and Marshal Moses are ours to lose. We are the favorite with both. I dont know if Coach Smith wants both or not however, but Id imagine one of them will be our 1st commitment.

I know Im looking ahead, but these teams are going to be better and better the next couple years it sounds like. Both teams are very young! Bell has something like 8 sophomores who are either starting or playing a lot of varsity.

A lot of people are dissapointed with Corbin right now, but they are still Corbin and will be good this year by the time its all said and done.

I really like Bell in this one, I think the team will be fired up to play Corbin and is very dissapointed with the loss to Henry Clay.

Is Corbin a young team? I know Cashen is a jr. I used to work with him at Bell County's basketball camp. Hes a great kid!

Yes Madness is shaping up to be huge for us! Id say it will be a huge show that should impress them. Im really hoping we can get atleast 3 guys, including Patterson!!, signed in November.

Also, it would be great if Mackey, Miller, and Hopson can all make it to Madness. I think Smith should make it a priority to get either Miller or Hopson and Mackey in the following class!

That's the first I've heard of that. Everything I've seen has Tubby in-home tonight. Coach K isn't there from everything I've seen.

Ive heard that Tubby was supposed to be there today and also visited OJ Mayo. Ive also heard that Tubby wont be there until tommorow and Coach K is there tonight. You know, I really dont know what to believe.

Well for a few weeks there the only UK recruits who were being talked about were Patterson, Lucas, and AJ Stewart basically. But all of a sudden we are in on a bunch of prospects again.

Considering that CovCath and Highlands are in the LexCath region, your statement may have some validity. However, the LexCath defense was much better against Scott County and actually snuffed them out pretty well in the second half when the game was on the line. Revere, Guy, and Lockname could start for anybody I suspect.

I think its hard to brag on a defense when they give up 36 points. Now if Scott County's defense was able to score off turnovers then thats a little different. But for a defense to give up 36 points is not a good thing. Highlands played St X very tough Saturday and wont give up 30 points against just about anyone.

How does Bell's passing game look? Corbin has to do a better job blocking if they want to beat Bell County.

Well Bell actually has a passing game, so it looks pretty good. Bell's offense is a little different, but they are still capable of going back to the wishbone and whatnot. Should be a fun game. These teams really always want to beat each other. I like the Bobcats in this one though.
