5 months after tearing his ACL? I’m no doctor, but isn’t that a really quick comeback? Either way, awesome for the kid to get back on the field!
Very quick.

The train rolls on. Hot and difficult first half for the Birds on their first game on grass. They go up 1 to 0 on a Porter Hedenburg goal during a scramble after a free kick. That was the score at half. Early in the second, Luke Schweitzer was fouled at the top of the 18 and Mike Pernod bent and dipped the ensuing free kick just under the cross bar and into the far upper 90 to make it 2 to 0. Birds go up 3 - 0 on a late Max Farris insurance goal. That was that.
Now...the best part by far! My boy (not child, but amigo) Will Hochleutner returned to the field!!! 5 months after tearing his ACL, the world’s greatest teammate made his comeback. It was awesome. He played well and will be a big part of the Birds success as they move into October. Great to have you back, Will!

I was very impressed with Kramer. This was the first time I had seen him play. I liked that kid and I like #1 on defense for Highlands. He was fun to watch.
#1 is Huddleston. He is the one player that everyone has been excited about since he was in 3rd grade.

What's crazy is I felt like Dre didnt put himself in spots for many interceptions. But when he did he caught it. This year he has given himself more chances but now can't catch them.
However even if he isnt catching them. Its showing he is in the right spot. Thats still better than not being in the right spot.
I agree with that. A pass dropped is still a pass defensed.
-
If Dre is the weak spot on the defense, the Bengals are in a very good position...
True. I haven't seen safeties play this well since Fultcher and Wilcox in the late 80s, early 90s.

That's exactly what I was going to say. I did it once....many moons ago. It wasn't really skydiving as we were on a static line that pulled the chute open as you left the plane. Nevertheless, I was very glad when the chute filled with air.
If you jump out of a plane, you went skydiving, static line or not.

Completely agree on all of this. Dre Kirkpatrick is a starting cb in this league and would start elsewhere. He isnt a shut down corner but isnt horrible either. We have basically a shut down corner in WJ3. So as you said teams are going to throw a lot of passes his way, some are going to be completed.
I would take his coverage he has on that td Brown caught 10 times out of 10. It was great coverage, and just an unbelievable catch.
He is terrible as a ball hawk, though. He's dropped 3 INTs so far this season. The second one in Indy would have iced the game. Luckily the Colts fumbled later in the drive. For as much junk as he talks, he needs to play better.

Who do you think will win Mr. Soccer 2018? In my mind, it comes down to Cox from St. X and McMannus at Trinity, right? I know that the other Javanon player from Elizabethtown is a stud as well, but the team success that those two have achieved on top of being integral players puts them out in front.

Face off with another individual in a combat sport.
-
Michael Mayer from CovCath.
Or Coldiron. I think that he is a better offensive threat, and pretty close defensively.
-
Luke Schweitzer is Heating up. 2 more goals for the 6’5 blonde bomber. Max Farris and Carter Holmes follow suit. 4 goals all from lefties.
-
He's a stud and hard to believe, but pretty underrated. Almost like he gets forgotten at times with Brady, Manning, and Rodgers. He should be included in conversations. Hasn't had a strong defense most of his career.
In fairness, he has always pushed the envelope w his salary. Tough to be deep in D when 1 player commands so much of the cap space. A lot like Rogers.
-
Kirkpatrick talks a lot if junk for a guy w two left hands. Catch the ball...Jill the game.
-
He’s gotten his butt kicked all day.
His name is Hart, my bad
-
We have to have a better right tackle on the sideline than Moore. He is AWFUL
-
Why can't he? He wasn't calling the game, he can do what he wants.
Besides, I thought he was a minor league baseball player.
And let him teach QB fundamentals to all of the QBs in the SEC!

Birds win on Carter Holmes penalty. Caymon Stevie was fouled in the box.
#26 for Collegiate is legit. Best player I have seen so far this season.

I am starting to think the future is looking bright in Fort Thomas.
Thanks for posting @THUNDERBIRDS
Middle school kids looked good for the one 7th and one 8th grade teams that I saw.

Was it Male?
It would make perfect sense. I just don’t remember them playing.

Scott County becomes the 4th Kentucky team to beat Moeller?

Let me start by saying that #9 for Holmes is fun to watch. He's the kind of player that gets lost here in the US. His high school team is not very good and I'm not sure if he can afford club or not. He has serious talent, and would be a great pickup for an Academy type team.
That being said, Highlands goal bonanza saw 2 players get their first Varsity goals.
Jackson Lehrter heads in 2 crosses from Max Farris (he added an assist as well) and George Gates got his first on a rebound and volley.
The other scorers were Luke Schweitzer with 2 (6 on the season), Carter Holmes with 2 (4), Demetri Sarakatsannis (3), Caymon Stevie (8), Cary Gorrigan (4),

It’s not just about being in shape. Now it’s been a while since I played but when I was a kid kids played and worked outside a lot more than they do now. We were acclimated to heat because we were in it so much. We didn’t have nearly the distractions and opportunities kids have today. I can’t handle heat like I use to due to years of working in the AC among other things. It does make a difference.
Bro science or not, I completely agree. I make my sons run outside to get ready for tryouts starting in June. Not bc it makes them tough, but bc of this reasoning. I believe it allows them to acclimate as the temperatures rise through the summer and is easier on their bodies as work gets more strenuous.

I have 3 properties. I am also studying to become a general partner for apartment syndicates.

As some of you know, I am a NewCath guy with kids at Highlands, BUT I love watching my sons play them. Caymon Stevie with 2 against my Alma Mater. Porter Hedenberg with two sensational goals and Luke Schweitzer gets #4.

Even better...I'll be there for Highlands 20th for the Class of '98.
