I guess everyone thought that when they people say home field advantage they assume for the entire playoffs. :thumb:

KHSAA has the format for the 2008 playoffs on line now. Since the new realignments in the districts, Monroe County is now in Region 2 District 3. We were a couple years ago in Region 1. Since this is a even year Danville being in District 4 has the home field advantage for the third round.

Looking over the playoff format. We would have to travel to Danville shall they still be alive in the third round of the playoffs but with Green County or Washington County coming out on top then one of those teams would have to come to Monroe County. If Monroe County is still in the playoffs in the fourth round Fort Campbell would have to come to Monroe County.

After tonight games in the districts we have a pretty good idea how the playoffs match-ups will play out. Bardstown and Fort Knox still left to play tomorrow. The first round playoffs should look like this. District 3 District 4 No. 1 Monroe County vs. No. 4 Fort Knox No. 2 Green County vs. No. 3 Washington County No. 3 Metcalfe County at No. 2 Bardstown No. 4 Glasgow at No. 1 Danville

I feel that the long drive Monroe County had going into halftime determined the outcome of this game. Monroe County consumed over six minutes off the clock and took a 14-13 lead going into halftime with the momentum.
