Final

Monroe County moves to 8-1 on the season after a quality win over a very good 4a team in Allen County.

The Falcons looked really good tonight with Caleb Maxey showing that he can run the ball at college level. I hope he goes and plays somewhere...Justin Harlin is really composed when rolling out for the pass and the option. And I can't say enough about Neil Wilson, this kid is all over the field..and finally it seems we have someone that can deliver a good kickoff kick! Monroe's offensive line is doing wonderful on both sides of the ball...it looks good for a good playoff run...GO ROE GO!!!!

Good game by the Falcons, sometime's things like senior night can serve as a distraction, but it seems that Coach Petett does a great job keeping this team grounded and they seem to have bought into the 1 game at a time mentality, which will be vital for a good playoff run...

Monroe County @ Wayne next Friday night, it should be a really good one! Monroe is favored in both power ratings, but Wayne is at home and needs a win. The teams are a combined 15-3, so this should be an excellent game.....Wayne needs it bad for tiebreaker and to clinch the #1 seed, hopefully Pettet will rest those starters and prepare for his opening round playoff game, I know that won't happen! Always a good game and festive atmosphere, just wish some of those Falcons would bring up some of that 1 of a kind BBQ.......well looking forward to the game and hopefully both teams will play hard with 0 injuries! The Cardinal is my bird of choice, but I like the Falcons when Wayne is not involved! Good luck to both squads!

Great job Falcons

JMO but it appears that 2A football is pretty tough this year, this match up was #4 in 2A vs. #4 in 4A...
