I find it a bit unusual that Somerset dropped from 18th completely out of the Top 25 after not losing a game last week and beating the 5th ranked LCA Eagles.
-
They are 1-8 and have scored 30 runs, while allowing 139. This makes the 3rd time, they have allowed 20± runs.
Eastern is a very good team and while I wasn't there, perhaps not being able to get anyone out, was also a factor.
Think of how the team they beat must feel..

Saw this one in a high school game in Indiana.
7th inning. Tie ball game. Runner on third. Pitcher was in the wind up. Just as he starts his motion the batter drops his bat then bends over to pick it up. Pitcher stops and watches him. Ump calls a balk runner scores game over.
I May have to try this one myself in one of our games.

Yesterday, Tates Creek beat Somerset on a questionable play. I guess it was a form of the hidden ball trick. But not sure if the umpires made the right call.
-
Ok. I wasnt sure. I played with him when he was a 7th grader and he showed some great potential. He has a great football frame. Glad to see him back in town.

Is Jacob King currently with the Warriors in Spring Ball?

Which would mean Riley to UK, correct?
Thats what I was thinking as well..

I don't get why Donovan would leave Florida. He has one national championship and is looking at a possible 2nd in a row.
No matter how many championships he wins, Basketball will always be second to football in Florida. It's completely different in the Bluegrass.

I'm not downing Ross at all but what a lot of athletes don't do is market themselves. Sometime college coaches just recruit in one area, or miss some kids. So you have to write letters and send out stats and tape, to get your name out there.
I assure you that Ross and Coach Cobb have done their fair share of sending out tape, letters, stats etc.. It just all goes back to his height. When they see his film, they're all interested. Until they find out that he is 5'11.

Meeks is a man baby!

Does this kid even get to play?
-
That must be dissapointing for Martin. I guess he proved to us all that he's still got it!:thumb:

Congrats to the Lady Jumpers!
A Real fan would have been there!

What's happened to McCreary Central this season?
With Waters, everyone over the last couple years keeps on saying that they'd compete for the regional crown but in my opinion, they're going to struggle to get out of their district.
Good win for Somerset....does anyone know how the Rockcastle County/Casey County coin flip went to see who plays Pulaski County and Somerset in the first round of the 47th District Tournament?
Somerset plays Casey County in the first round of the district tournament and Rock plays Pulaski.

With the win the Jumpers improve to 15-11. Although McCreary lost, Eastern Signee Lindsey Waters did surpass 2,000 points for her career...:scared:

I guess this is what we get for beating Georgia on the Gridiron...:creepy:

Zach Blanton and Nethanial Gillium are two very good players that return for the Skins. These are two young Athletes that you could build your program around.

Too bad Danville couldn't keep him. Anyone know the exact reason he transfered in the first place?
-
Watched him play in the patch for the FCA round robin. This kid has an unstoppable inside game to go with an unbelieveable outside game. I would just call him "Dirk"

Dallas sucks. Anybody got any suggestions for a new team to follow?
Eh, I guess I would like to see either Alexander get a ring, or Peyton. Not sure though. Tough decision

Williamsburg defeats yet another quality opponent.

Why was he ineligible?

I'm not trying to change the topic of the thread, but has anyone heard any news on David Pollack?
