No it’s not.
So tell me your plan. Who seeds the teams? I hope it’s not the same people who had North Laurel ranked #1

Impossible to do it fairly.

No last- second, half- court shot needed from the Tomcats on their first trip to Olive Hill since last year’s game winner that made ESPN.

Who in the world voted North Laurel #1 after their two beat downs over the weekend?

You can’t just replace two stars like Hudson and Bradley and expect to pick up where you left off. The Tomcats have some new pieces this year and it’s taken some time for everyone one to adjust. Carter looks more comfortable every game. Hopefully by tournament time the Tomcats will be hitting on all cylinders just like they were last year.

Ethan Sellars led a parade of 3-point shooters in an incredible shooting performance. It was 46-27 at the half behind Sellars 26 points. Sheppard 34 points but had 10 turnovers. Ashland 15 of 26 on 3-pointers and Sellars 37 points (14 of 21 from field, 7 of 10 from downtown). Cole Villers 19 points. Colin Porter 14 points and 12 assists. Zander Carter 11 points and six rebounds.

Final from Covington Cath. Interesting statistic Covington Cath. shot 30 free throws to Ashland's 2.
That’s not home cooking, that’s home broiling.

Ashland struggling early this year. They just don’t seem to have that great offensive flow they had last year, but I’m sure they’ll get it figured out. They’re too talented not to.

How bout them Tomcats!!!!
Defense wins Championships, and Ashland had one heck of a defense all year long. So proud and so happy!!!!

I'm so extremely proud of this Tomcat team and especially my nephew Jack Alley. He has worked so hard the last 4 years, and it's so exciting to see him reap his rewards.

Nice win for Russell. To be honest, this win really surprises me. Isn't Johnson Central on of the favorites to win the 15th?

Yes, the game Tuesday is at Transylvania. Ashland was 9-20 from 3 point range for the game. The Porter kid is something to watch. He had 27 points tonight and just does an amazing job facilitating the offense. Ashland came out sluggish offensively and defensively in the first half, but you just know this team is capable of exploding at anytime. It’s the best, most fundamentally sound team I believe I’ve ever seen. Their Achilles heel will be their lack of depth and lack of size, but I believe they’re capable of beating anyone in the state.

Ashland led 49-20 at the half, and Coach Mays emptied the bench midway through the 3rd quarter. I did find out after the game that Inion County had kicked 3 of their top players off the team this week.

For what it's worth it sounds like Stoops has Bowden and his players backs 100% given a clip from the post game locker room. I'd quote some of it or link it but there are expletives.
PM me please.

Stoops runs an undisciplined program, he's shown that on numerous occasions over the last few years. Most fans won't care when their team is winning more than they have in decades. I get it, to an extent.
Stoops has suspended several players for different team violations over the years. You might be correct, but I’m not aware of what you may be referring to.

Bench him, at least for a half.
I'd probably do a lot of things as an HC that wouldn't be popular with the masses.
Fair enough. Only you know what you would do in that situation.
-
That’s because it was so early they weren’t on the field yet, just about guarantee you if they had been and would’ve saw it he would’ve been ejected from the game! Running your mouth back at somebody to take up for yourself is one thing, throwing a punch and pushing one of your coaches is something else entirely!
Where is Captain Obvious when you need him? Not defending Bowden. What he did was stupid.
-
To be fair they had been trying to get into Bowdens head since Saturday. They did and the end result was him doing what a lot of ppl would, losing their cool.
That said, if he legitimately shouldn't have played the refs wouldn't have allowed him to.
To be fair, the officials had no say at that point.
-
That would be an assumption, and we don't really have anything to go on. Most star players aren't throwing punches before a bowl game.
You’re the head coach. What do you do?
-
No way to know... But we do know Stoops would never.
You know the answer. NONE!!!
-
So you think a kid that punches an opposing player and then pushes his own coach should have been allowed to play?
Name one coaching staff that would have suspended their star player in that situation.
