    The ability of the Red Colonels to pick off base runners several times during the game IMHO was the difference in the game. Cov Cath threatened to score 2 or 3 times and Dixe made the big play to snuff-out the threat. Game was tense thru out.

    Congratulations to Vinnie Lane of the Dixie Heights Boy's Track team for breaking the school record in the 100 meter dash at the Campbell Co. Classic Meet. The old record was 10.9 seconds set by Mike Martin in 1970. This was a converted 100 yd dash time. Vinnie ran 10.82 seconds in winning the event.
