If Ryle beats Cooper this year then send over the crow and I will sharpen my knife and fork. It’s not gonna happen.
I couldn’t make that bold of a prediction against a team that they haven’t beat since 2015.

I think Ryle has a very good season , impressive schedule !! Also curious to see if they can pull off 9 straight against Cooper. Almost a decade since the Jags have knocked off the Raiders , that should make for a good one!

I just had a discussion with someone about it. I would like us to get to the truth so we can move on with the 2024 Jags. As of now, this is definitely an elephant sitting in the room.
Agreed , how long had Coach Jacob Delph been with Cooper , I personally am not buying the "stepped down" from his decision making.

The DC made a post on social media saying he was stepping down. From the post it doesn’t sound like it for a new job. The post made it sound as if there were some philosophical differences.
@futurecoach @CoachMulvi any truth to this, which coach was this?

Does Fields get some Varsity QB play this year , giving them the opportunity to do other things with Gregg?

I heard last Night the size of the Highlands OL next year. Oh my. Just crazy. And to think in 2025 they will be probably bigger.
6"4-310 JR M. Merz
6"4-310 JR M. Howard
6"4"-280 JR B. Cook
6"2"-275 So T.Haretuku
6"0"-260 SR T. Bryant
6"0"-280 SR D. Race
6"1"-280 JR P. Murriner
6"2-225 SR/TE T. Ferring
Some serious Girth. I will predict that SR RB Jack White will have some serious Numbers running behind that Big Blue Wall and the Highlands Offensive scheme. Exciting to see that Highlands is just reloading. When was the last time Highlands has had a OL this Big? I remember some big Kids back in the Mueller Era but this is just Nuts to have that many to choose from.
There is realistically 4-5 guys who can produce at a very high level at the RB spot. White , Niemann , Williams , James , Grimm. That position could be an improvement from last year.
I think Issac Niemann schocks NKY this year on both sides of the ball but especially LB.

Highlands lives in my head rent free (so do a lot of schools). 🙂
I would say be thankful other fanatics are so tuned into Highlands football because I am not sure their accomplishments over the last decade warrant it.
I will take your advice and wisdom on this one @theguru , well said !!

To be fair, if the situation was reversed and Highlands just made state and basically return their whole team. I would say most of the Highlands faithful would be saying very similar, and not thinking a team that lost basically all their starters should be getting talked as highly as them, no matter how much younger talent that other team may have coming up. So while I don’t think he should be saying a team is scared, because that’s just silly. If the situation was reversed, can guarantee the Highlands faithful would be talking a very big game about this coming season.
Highlands lives in your heads rent free , I don't blame you for talking a big game to be honest , a lot to be proud of . This is a Highlands thread though?? Why ain't you guys doing it on Bowling Greens page , they are the only ones you have to worry about , right??

They are afraid of Cooper!
Afraid of a team they beat last year and they've lost to maybe 2 or 3 times in the last 8 to 10 meetings. Their Freshman and JV destroyed Coopers by about 50 last year!

About 4-5 of Cov. Cath.’s best Freshman have solely been playing varsity now for about 4-5 weeks.
All there guys played last night Pitzer , Lind , Clukey left in an ambulance second quarter. Concussion but hear he's doing ok.

Fryman would run circles around him.
And Lorenzen would run right through him.

Fryman is set to graduate in 2027 at the right age vs. graduate in 2026 at 17yr old. He’s in the right grade as a freshman.
Lorenzen should just stay back as well then and be a Freshman again next year because he's set to graduate at 17 right now.

Best team in NKY is a comical statement. To be the man, you have to beat the man.
But whatever helps you Birds fans sleep at night!
Highlands will win a 5A state championship this year, but year in and year out, are still trying to figure out how to beat a team over in Park Hills since an Eviston took over.
Sounds like you're the only one loosing sleep over it lol. I guess the browns were better than the Bengals in 21 because they beat them twice even though the Bengals make it to the superbowl. Teams never had bad games, or get better. That can't be a thing.

Looks like my info is wrong about Beechwood JV.
It's not, they've canceled upcoming games.

What's more dangerous?? A Freshman playing another Freshman who should be a Sophomore or Freshman whos supposed to be a Sophomore who's probably got a couple years in the weightroom playing a JR in JV that might see limited Varsity reps the remainder of their career and Sophomores that have the same experience as them?

If I’m correctly picking up what you’re putting down, does that mean there is an excessive number of freshmen?
That should be sophomores, playing JV.. What has taken place is fine but don't make other teams suffer by having to find replacement games or worse.. not being able to find a game at all. Suck it up and make it happen. They can play Freshman and JV

It happens about every 5 years at Beechwood. Guys decide to focus on one sport and/or low numbers in a class.
If Beechwood has canceled a JV season in the past that's news to me , I know kids focusing onother sports isn't the reason, the low class numbers.. maybe , but that was their own doing 🤔

Hmmm.. Why does Beechwoods sophomore class lack number's? I'm confused by that!
-
Birds down 14-0 at half , rally back with 21 unanswered. Freshman Lorenzen hits Abner for about 60 yards on the final score of the game .

Hearing the Campbell kid is doing better, not sure the ruling or timeline of his injury , prayers for a speedy recovery 🙏 With that said... without him on both sides of the ball is a big blow.. hope he's good to go come next Friday... any word anyone?
