Prediction was 35-28. How bad was the second half for FC? Sure Coach James and staff had to give the guys an ear full for the let up. Excited for the showdown with Boyle Co. Was a heck of a Championship game few years ago.

This will be a better game than people think. I have Franklin County winning this but as a close game. Bardstown typically has really good athletes. Wish could see this personally. FC 35 Bardstown 28

Franklin County vs Bardstown from a personal opinion. But the three I would like to see other then that is
Boyle Co vs Corbin
LCA vs Mayfield
Christian Academy of Louisville vs Louisville Central

Saw this in person. Was supposed be worse if Flyers don’t ease up already up big and a fumble on a kickoff. FC blows them out again. North Oldham can’t stop John Griffin this kid will live in the backfield again. 3 sacks last time before half.

Hate to see this game being played at 12 on a Saturday last year this game was super packed. With a lot going on in Lexington this is a safer move. There’s talks for basketball season that students can only go to the games if it’s their school is playing and must show school IDs.

Other than RPI this game meant nothing. I feel both teams will take a lot away from this game that will help them down the road.
SW definitely let one slip away that they should have put away.
Smh. Every game means something.

And that's impossible to say, unless you're the one making the call..... But it's an easier decision from the 1 1/2 than from the 3.
Not impossible to say when the coach has been on record saying multiple times.

Bingo…. That’s who they are. Not scared to lay it out there.
And have no regrets with the results afterwards.

The Defenders are heating up! Open year with two L’s but have caught fire. Big one versus neighboring Douglass.
Those 2 L’s was against 2 of the best in their classes. Proving to be great battle test. Could this be another run like last year for Station?

Flyers don’t go away peacefully! Eddie James with the Brass to go for two to win it. Flyer kids executed short time clock management like pros.
Got to be loving his team more and more with them executing and winning these playoff like tight games against really good teams.

The Southwestern player losing their composure and getting the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after the touchdown with 2 seconds to go made that decision a little bit easier. Great game.
That penalty had nothing to do with him going for 2. This is how Coach James coaches. He showed us all that in the State Championship 3 years ago against Boyle Co.

With all the tradition and history with Danville and Frankfort High it’s becoming harder and harder for these small schools to keep talent from going to the bigger schools in Boyle Co and Franklin County. The turnover of coaches over the years has hurt these school badly. Sad to see but when you have a school where everyone is getting big exposure, a well built program in terms of development in players and funding, and major success in playoff runs it’s hard to see these two schools bouncing back for a while.

Have you heard the PODCAST? Who at frankfort allowed these kids to do a podcast unsupervised? Frankfort unleashed sports report!! 20 minutes of team members bashing each other, and the coaches, and talking about the game. Cringe worthy for anyone who understands teamwork.

I don't think a one dimensional team will beat LCA, as good as Pikeville's run game is. Pikeville is going to have to open it up to get LCA to empty the box.
Maybe so but if Pikeville is chewing up clock getting 4-6 yards a carry. Margin for era is slim and LCA last year and at times this year can be careless.

Maybe. LCA is so quick strike that Pikeville may have to throw the ball.
Maybe but the value of possession is even greater playing Pikeville because they’re not BG or Boyle county whos going quick to score. One Cutter turnover can change things big time if they’re already down 7.

Based on who they’ve played is Ashlands wins over Raceland and West Jesmanie really that more impressive then Franklin Countys two wins over Great Crossing and Bryan Station?
-
Way different style of football will be played then what both teams went against their first 2 games. This game will come down to if LCA is physical enough to slow down or contain Pikevilles rushing attack.

Coach Ledford is running special teams this year, and co-coordinating the defense with Coach James. Due to some personal things he has stepped back somewhat. Still a great unit and a strong culture on defense at FC.
Flyer defense is a team deal this year, No big stars emerging. Luke Toothaker is the prospect on the Dline. #13 has some FCS and Ivy league attention so far.
Heard about that definitely my thoughts and prayers with him and his family. I love that it’s always “WE” and not “ME” with this team over Coach James era. Especially hearing about this years team it’s proving more. Looking forward to seeing a special run from FC this year.

Station Oline did not have a good game. You are correct. Still time to fix but they struggled against Franklin, with much credit going to Franklin.
Over the years FC D-Line has be a great unit in the state.

Or could it could be the young Flyers are pretty dangerous??? Station got knocked around tonight. Flyers were calling out thier plays. Washington was back and eligible but the County kids really got after him.
Who was some key guys for FC during this game? From looks of the score Coach Ledford rose the Defense to the occasion like he has often of the years.

I’d be interested to see if he is still going the prep school route with the recent passing of his grandfather.

That seems petty. If that's true, I hope he puts up 800 yards of offense on them by himself.
A lot of these coaches are petty like this. It’s sad a grown man is mad because a kid goes somewhere else for a better opportunity for themselves. How petty do you got to be to dictate a kids future because he or she doesn’t want play for you smh.

Love seeing everyone playing real competitive games to open the seasons. No ducking and dodging.

Boyle County at Franklin County Predictions/Updates
in KY Football (High School)

I see Franklin County grinding this one out with a heavy run game to keep Boyle off the field. Looking forward to seeing what Jon Griffin does in this game he’s a monster and leads the state in sacks. Love for FC to pull off the upset.
