Toughest places to play?
I would have to say Mayfield. You have to be mentally tough to play there. The history and tradition alone is a tough to block out. The crowd has always been loud and supportive. I know at the time we traveled down there, one endzone was lined with cars right outside the fence and a large portion of fans were there. Another place that I won’t say was tough but rather neat was FT.Knox. They marched in what I will guess was 300 soldiers. It got our attention. It’s been years though, I’m not sure if they still do that.

Class 1A Playoffs #8 Louisville Holy Cross vs. #9 Bethlehem Predictions/Updates
Its worth noting Holy Cross also beat Campbellsville. The factor in each of those wins was was Corley was either out or well below 100%. With a healthy Corley, Campbellsville could very well still be consider near the top of the class( I personally and respectfully disagree with that). Anyway, if Holy Cross pounds the rock and sustains drives they win. I also like the fact Holy Cross is at home. Lets not forget at seasons end Coach Bronger is retiring. I feel confident the Cougars will have a little extra in the tank. Bethlehem-20 Holy Cross-35

Which 4 seed has the best chance at winning tonight (11/8)
Everybody loves an underdog right? Of all the 1 vs 4 seed games tonight, which 4 seed has the best chance to get a Win? Be creative and have some fun with this. Give a reason why a 1 seed could fall tonight.

Class 3A Playoffs: #6 Elizabethtown vs. Thomas Nelson Predictions/Updates
Elizabethtown will not have any issues. I expect the score will be about the same. The most important order of business is to come out healthy. I believe everyone is projecting round #2 with Bardstown. We can get more into that later. Elizabethtown- 48 Thomas Nelson- 0

Class 1A Playoffs: #9 Bethlehem vs. #10 Campbellsville Predictions/Updates
The biggest question is how healthy will Malachi Corley be? He has sat out since the second half of the Bethlehem game on October 18th. If he is healthy, Bethlehem has no answer for him. In that first half he had 7 carries for 114 yards and a TD, 2 receptions for 81 yards and a TD. On defense he had 5 tackles(per KHSAA). In my opinion.... if Corley plays and is 100% Campbellsville takes it. If he is not 100% or does not play at all, the game could be like the second half of the first meeting, a shoot out! The game will be at Bethlehem's 5 Star Field and will be the first playoff game in hosted there. If Corley plays/is healthy: Campbellsviile-42 Bethlehem-28 No Corley/unhealthy Bethlehem- 48 Campbellsville-40 Either way it could be a great game and an Eagle will advance to the second round!

3A #6 Elizabethtown vs. #9 Bardstown Predictions/Updates
This one could be really good. Both teams absolutely have the ability to win this game and both come in expecting to win. Does bad blood from last year come into play? I want to pick Bardstown. They have the best team they have had in a while. They have a stud in Calbert. The kid can play football! I like Bardstowns defensive line, they are extremely aggressive and explode off the ball. Here comes the but though.... I look at who Bardstown has played and not much sticks out. They gave Pikeville all they wanted, and they beat a Danville team that is apparently rebuilding. Outside of that there has not been much of a challenge. Elizabethtown has played two top 10 teams from 6A, although they lost both games, they were infact in those games. Elizabethtown has played against talented teams and in my opinion is battle tested. How will Bardstown respond in a game that is not a running clock going into the 4th quarter? Isn't high school football great!!! Elizabethtown 21 Bardstown 20

1A #6 Campbellsville vs. #9 Bethlehem Predictions/Updates
This will not be the first time this pair of Eagles have met in a big district game. At the beginning of the year Campbellsville was penciled in as my pick in this one....BIG! I have since changed my mind, at least as far as what type of game it will be. Bethlehem comes in at 5-1. With a combined opponents record of 15-27 how much stock can really be put into that? Campbellsville has a 5-2 mark, but in fairness they only have a combined opponents record of 18-32. Bethlehem has played out of their class twice but those two schools are currently 0-14 combined. Campbellsville has played out of their class in each game they have played with the exception of one, with only one opponent in the winless category. Both teams have decent QB's with comparable stats. Ryan Ma4ttingly of Bethlehem slings the ball for 204 yards a contest, Campbellsville's Arren Hash tallies up 226 yards per game. Bethlehem's rushing attack is headlined by a promising freshman Zane Wickliffe who racks up 45 yards a game. Enter the difference maker.... Malachi Corley. He does it all. He is D1 in the FBS variety for a reason. He accounts for 157 offensive yards per game for his squad. He will be head above heels the best athlete on the field in this contest. I see Bethlehem having slim to no chances slowing this kid down. Now say I am wrong(it happens...I know I cant believe it either). Campbellsville's Reggie Thomas adds 50 additional yards per game to the the purple and gold. So back to the question...who wins? Can Bethlehem take the energy, effort and grit they displayed last Friday vs Holy Cross and carry that on the road? Can Campbellsville get through Bethlehem's big O-Line and pressure Mattingly? Will Campbellsville's D1 star be to much and take over the ball game? This could be a great football game. My prediction: Campbellsvile 48 Bethlehem 28 Campbellsville will be to athletic.
