Shame on the KHSAA for allowing these games to be played in such terrible conditions. All the girls from all 4 teams deserved better. The spectators too... The amount of time and effort put into their seasons from July until late October is incredible and to have to finish the season in those conditions, when it simply could have been avoided is a travesty. Too, they put the girls in significant risk of injury in doing so. The sport is made for fast play, cutting to the ball, and quick defense. The poor field conditions had girls sliding all over the field. The KHSAA does nothing to promote the sport or give it equal treatment to other varsity level sports. ( see the fact that not one school outside Louisville has a team) Regular season JV football games just a few weeks ago were called off for lesser conditions, that simply is a fact.... To have Semi-State games played though? Incredibly poor decision making.

Really great games played by SHA. Take away the 7-0 halftime score in the first game of the weekend vs Eastern Voorhees ( 19 time State Champs) , SHA settled down and played close to even the rest of the way, defeating previously undefeated Wyoming Seminary 2-1 on a corner with no time remaining. The girls learned a lot and built some confidence heading into next weeks State Tourney.

Thursday is the semi finals with the finals being Friday evening

Thursday Evening at KCD, SHA JV will play Ballard (SHA defeated Male to remain unbeaten and Ballard beat N Oldham. Wednesday Evening Manual will take on KCD and Assumption will take on CAL.
