North Hardins strength is their back 7. I don’t think X will do much on offense. Especially passing.
Im not sure North scores much either. Definitely gonna be a low scoring game.

Meade Co has won 3 straight games after moving Austin Oppel to QB. Senior Wr JJ Richardson may be the hottest WR in the state right now. Besides the Batren Co game when the wave went run heavy, Richardson was 11 catches 107 yds 1 TD, 7 catches 105 yards 1 TD and 7 catches 188 yards and a TD since Oppel made the move to QB. These 2 have played together since they were 7 years old so there’s some big time chemistry between the 2.
North Hardin is undefeated and will be a considerable favorite in this one although they managed just over 200 yards on offense vs Barren Co as RB Lavell Wright sat with an injury. North has a very stout defense so this game will probably be a low scoring game. Who wins?

I found it. It was the Greater Louisville Coaches association who voted on the teams. It was in our newspaper today. My guy was 1st team DB and 2nd team WR 🙂

I've seen a few all district teams posted. Does anyone know where the full list is?

Extremely impressed with Richardson. He had to make "outfielder" plays on numerous ball that were horribly underthrown, but he would have made Willie Mays proud. Easily the MVP of the game for the Green Wave.
Oppel is a player. Not the biggest guy on the field by any means, but plays with a lot of heart. Hard to get a solid hit on when he's running the ball, and - while he's not blazing fast - certainly has enough speed to get the job done. If I was coaching a team, I would definitely find a place for this guy on my squad. He can contribute.
Meade defense probably deserves the game ball, though. South moved the ball relatively well in the first half, but - until their final two possessions - couldn't get anything going in the second half. And even on those two possessions, Meade gave up just two makeable field goal attempts.
Congrats to the Green Wave on a solid victory!!
Meade improves to 4-0 against South Oldham since 1998...
Thanks. I'll let JJ know what you said.

Crazy, because I don't think that was one of Meade's strengths?
Recent QB change. JJRichardson had 11 catches and 100 yds the 1st game with the Change. Then he had 7 catches, 100 yards and a TD vs S Oldham.
Oppel and Parker share time at QB now but moving Oppel there has really opened up the deep passing game.

Beechwood, in no way initiated any of this.
Your post is misleading and incorrect. (Which you corrected previously)
Beechwood was/still is very interested in playing this game if the status changes. To say it was because Beechwood didn't want to wait -- no truth.
Ok. That’s not what I was told.
Im in no way insinuating Beechwood is “scared” or anything like that. They are a REALLY good team and I’m sure would be considered a huge favorite to win the game.
So are you saying Beechwood could wait until Thursday afternoon to know if they were gonna have a game on Friday?

Meade’s coach called Beechwood today and said they cannot play anyone that’s in a red county. Said it’s completely out of his hands, and that he wanted to let Beechwood know as early as possible so that both teams can try and find another game.
These are the facts, not rumors, but the actual facts.
It’s a shame the game can’t be played, but at least both teams now have some time to try and find an opponent.
Thank you. This is what I was told too.

I just got confirmation that Beechwood didn’t wanna wait till Meade was in the clear (Meade makes determination on Thursday) which is understandable.

I believe Kenton County, where Beechwood is located, did go in the red Thursday.
Is it possible Meade County cancelled because of

Being in a red county does not stop a team from playing. The decision to play or not rests with school administrations.
I understand the Covid policies.
So is Beechwood red?

Who said they did?
Meade is looking for a game and I saw where Beechwood was too. I know for sure Meade didn’t pull out. If Beechwood is in the red then maybe Meade told them they couldn’t play them but if that’s the case how is Beechwood playing?
-
Why did Beechwood pull out?
-
Does anyone know if Beechwood still plans in playing this game next week?
If so, thoughts on how this one goes.

JJ Richardson 🙂
Yeah he kinda took over that last drive. I was very proud of him. I wish we threw it a little more.
South Oldham looks to be a very well coached team. They run all their sets perfect.
That was a fun game Both sides have it everything.

South Oldham likes to run the ball about 90% of the time, so Meade's ability to stop the run will most likely decide the outcome of the game.
Meade played well vs 1 "power" type running team (John Hardin). They looked awful vs Louisville Central, who ran 2 "power" type backs. I think Meade will do ok on that side of the ball. Im more interested to see how well Meade moves the ball. The offense has looked much better the last 3 games.
The quality of opponents these 2 have faced in much different. Meade has played 3 teams that are still undefeated late in the season and all have a chance to win state, plus a good Apollo and John Hardin team. South Oldham's toughest opponent was North Bullitt then Oldham CO. After that they have played some really bad teams.

Meade and S Oldham both stay out of the red so the game is on tomorrow 😀

Meade has to NOT be in the red when the Covid numbers come out today. If they are under and South Oldham in under the game is on.
Meade has a beautiful new turf field that just opened a couple weeks ago. Press box is nice and the facility is really nice.
If assume there is plenty of room/capabilities to stream /etc but with Covid who knows.

Meade Co strengths: Austin Oppel is one of the better RB's in KY. Rushed for 2,000 yards as a sophomore in Indiana. Last yr he had over 1,000 yards in 7 or 8 games and was injured for 3-4 games. Experienced Oline.
All district WR/DB (#20) 6-2 JJ Richardson had 11 catches 104 yards and a TD vs Central Hardin and had 5 int's last year. Is 7th in 6A this year. Meade just doesnt throw it much.
Meade doesnt allow much through the air. One of the best pass defenses statistically in 6A
Weaknesses:
Stopping the run. Been bad vs the run but they have played some of the best teams in the state this season. (North Hardin, Lou Central and Etown are all still undefeated)
They don't get much out of the passing game. As a team they have thrown 4 Tds and 10-11 Interceptions.
Players to watch:
#5 Oppel
#20 Richardson
#7 Godsey
