#13 and #8
I expect to see more mentions of those guys.
-
I think they should, but my question would be, is that number retired program-wide? Meaning, could a player on the freshman team wear a retired number until they reach the varsity level?
-
Who are some of the best, or your favorite middle-infield combos?
I mentioned Alomar/Vizquel in the HoF thread, and Pokey/Nomar is probably my favorite. Pokey/Barry was a good one too. And BP/Cozart were as sure-handed as they come.
Who comes to mind for you?

My Atlanta Hawks heading in the usual direction. :banghead: :angrybird2:

I always assumed there was some sort of beef between bird specimens..

I think he had 11 or 12 gold gloves too. One of, if not the, best fielding shortstops I have ever seen.
9 consecutive at one point. That middle infield with Roberto Alomar was among the best duos ever in my mind.
One of those teams should have won a ring, but Cleveland...

Yes. Mostly because there are only 32 basketball numbers you can wear, while there are 101 football/baseball numbers.
How long has the number restriction been in effect?
-
Exactly, he isn't just some role player. He is the reigning defensive player of the year and Warriors' leader in rebounds and assists.
I didn’t say he isn’t worthy, just that I’d rather see PG out there.
-
Draymond is arguably the best defender in the league.
I don't want defense anywhere near my All Star Weekend.
-
Did Spencer take several charges last night?
How did Gritton do on his bad wheel?
Not sure if AC is most disappointing team in state but they are in the 8th but they still have 8 games remaining and see them going 6-2. Anything worse and they will not make the region.
They can go 0-8 and still go to the Roy. I’d advise against it, but it’s possible...
Unless, of course, you know about some 6-win clause that isn’t public knowledge.

175 years seems light.

Is something horrible as bad as something terrible? Doesn't matter. They're both bad.
The NCAA shouldn't be leading an investigation. Who/whom/whatever agency brought the case to trial should find anybody the least bit culpable and hold them accountable for their actions. The kids who are the victims of these crimes don't need NCAA sanctions to remind them of what happened.

Draymond is tough to stomach, but I am a sucker for players on great teams. All three of teammates are better than he, but he is their engine starter and so good on the defensive end.
To your question, I think you know the answer. No way he would pick him.
I guess I want guys with All Star talent, not guys who are supportive of All Star talents.
Using the same logic, I would take Simmons over Love and Drummond, though I would take Drummond over Love.
-
I’m trying to find his one NBA keeps him on a roster talent (energy?) Hopefully, we all see it soon, that would only benefit UK. Is he Terrance Jones 2.0 without the offense right now?
He's very Ben Simmons to me. :idunno: Makes really good decisions and always seems to be near a loose ball. Just not as assertive or aggressive offensively as Simmons could be at LSU.

Loved that SGA-Diallo-Vanderbilt-Knox-Gabriel line-up that opened up the lead in the second half.

Craft beer drinkers remind me of vegans and those people who like their hometown team's rival.

Who would you have removed in favor of Paul George? Seems like I end up watching a lot of OKC for some reason. Some games you watch he is great, other games you would not know he is on the team.
I wish they were televising the draft. It would be hilarious if it came down to the last two picks and K-Love was left on the board and LeBron bypasses him for Porzingis or someone else. My guess is Durant.
Draymond can go. The 4th best player on a team isn't an All Star to me. I don't care how hype he gets his team for games.
I think KD too.
Let me ask this, if Kobe had the first pick, and KD was after his crown, would he take KD or try to beat him?
-
Paul George was snubbed. My only complaint.
Who is LeBron taking with the first pick?

Hey, if anyone is interested in playing for me? i’m Thinking about coaching a pick up team at town and country. Anyone interested in playing?
Did they ever replace the plastic court?

How do you guys drink Bud Light?
Typically through the opening on the top of the can, but occasionally I'll punch a hole in the side with a key or knife or whatever unsanitary object I have, and drink from there as I pop the tab.

Seems like I remember a post where someone predicted this, along with some other pretty outlandish stuff...

It goes against the spirit of the thread, but this is my favorite rendition of one of my favorite songs:

I might not recover from this
Fear not! My local drunks have come to a consensus on Bortles, that he is a franchise QB. All is well!
-
Post-dates the advent of it, actually. The other teams have not played as many games (lack of post-season games), which is why UK, et al. are ahead of them.
I see.
-
Not sure how trustworthy you are since it is mentioned in nationally televised games for as long as I can remember. In essence, you are incorrect
Also interesting that while UK has this "record", Vandy and UNLV (I think) are part of an elite group that have hit a three pointer each game since the three point line was introduced.
So UK’s streak predates the three-point line? No wonder the Cats got to 2k before everyone else.

The last time I saw him, he was being carried out of the Bank of Kentucky Center (pre-BB&T) on a stretcher. He was moving well prior to the injury though. He could probably still play a little.
