Hopefully the Male PA announcer gets a nice dose of humility after this one.

I agree he is over the top and out of line in his cheerleading from the pa booth.

We got beat, future is bright. It will be interesting to see how we use the four potential quarterbacks next year and what route we go. I’m not sure the offense ever found itself this year.

Weather won't help X as we tend to try and go for "home run" ball vs easier completions. IMO that makes is tough on our QB. We never throw easy TE routes to keep LB's honest, drives me nuts!

Haworth has always coached way. And he’s been quite successful at it. It’s not my preferred style, but he likes his teams to play with urgency. So he coaches with that same urgency. Coach Bibby at Central is the same way. I can’t imagine how exhausted they are after a game.

IMO players get tired of it and cannot be sustained over an entire season. Kids get tired of it. I feel Male had more talent than Trinity last year too and got beat. Players need to play and not hear coach noise all game. Might get you a solid regular season record but not a deep run.

Male is loaded but I have watched their coach and I think he over-coaches. He never sits down, he’s never quiet. If the kids can overcome that there’s no doubt they have the talent to win the region. Tigers underrated.

So nice to see us actually bring PRESSURE on D. Changed the game and a must to have our 3-4 work.

I really think Butler was one of the most physical teams we played last year not sure what they have back but I expect a solid effort.

I really liked how Manual ran quick hitters with a fullback lead, a lost art in football!!!

Manual earned it in Q4. X had plenty of chances to put them away early and didn’t. FYI, Manual didn’t field a freshman team with this years senior class.

I feel a bit sorry for whoever has that task of replacing Beatty; never easy being the man replacing the man.

 

Also, seeing the Trinity freshman team it is obvious there is drop in talent, but that probably has a lot to do with Male getting a lot of kids as well as Coach Wallace bringing a bit more excitement into St. X which is bringing in a bit more talent.

Drawing conclusion that Beatty would leave b/c of down Fr-Soph class is less accurate IMO than he might step down because he is just ready to retire. As we have seen in the past, Freshman games not a big indicator of varsity success. Kids and rosters change!

Please explain how Trinity was classless for reacting to X players moving on the line?

The hits and contact to the center were excessive if you can’t see that then no point in arguing with you.

The DL for Trinity was classless on the false starts, should have been flagged. Also still calling snap counts as have been for years. However, X needs to get tougher. Trinity’s plan to bring pressure and hold receivers bothered us all night, again need to get tougher.

If number 7 for Trinity is same guy from last year with 2 personal fouls, I hope some addresses him. Multiple Cheap shots..

X has been without couple significant contributors in secondary all year. Hopefully back by week 8-10.

If Trinity played the same players they did against X and lost, that’s impressive win by Male.

Best JV Tigers have looked so far.

JV is hard because if you have good 10th graders they play up and maybe some 11th graders that need some reps at a new position or something like that. At the end of the day it’s ultimately about getting JV kids reps.

I get it it’s just hard to watch sometimes.

X still sloppy, too many penalties, At least two touchdowns called back on illegal formation’s and a few holding penalties maybe 80 yards or more in penalties. Kind of frustrating they don’t take JV too serious and it shows on the field.
