Need to get healthy! I think this will be a one score game heading into Q4. X D line needs big night as Manual will come right down hill. Can X show a mid range passing game to open the run? Tired of the long ball or screens that haven’t really worked. TE over middle or hitch routes would be refreshing. Duddy was given 10 yard cushion on Friday! Just stand up and throw it to him he’ll gain 6 to 8 yards!

Hats off to Trinity. Read in article that Cincinnati X played man coverage. You better be really good up front to do that against T whole game. That O and running QB will make you pay and sounds like they did.

My projection for Trinity is they will lose to Cincy St. X. Beat Ballard and Eastern. St. Marys (MO) is #8 in Missouri and that will be a toss up but winnable game. Beat Eastern & Ballard in playoffs. Beat 3rd round opponent then play Male in semifinals which will be tough to beat.
To play Male, u think they will be 4th in rpi? X and Manual 2-3?

Just watched Cobb interview with Courier-Journal, likes to blame kids. I’m not sure high school is place for that…and if Wallace did it, I would say same thing.

Will take it… Need to work on or call some easy Short! pass plays when D stuffs box. Also, 3 years in a row Trinity has blocked punt up middle. Unacceptable and seem like a scheme issue we need to address…
Not sure how seeds will play out but will likely see them again.

It may be a bold prediction, but I could see a running clock in the game tonight. Just too many injuries for X.
X Offense much better than years past I don’t see anyway that happens. Next man up on D, Go Tigers!!

Fake banner karma.... congrats to Manual

Two stall possessions with lucky deflections lead to 2 3s for Trinity.

In my opinion, if X can limit Hodge from getting the ball going downhill they will win the game. Trinity has trouble scoring when that doesn’t happen; their offense depends on that.

Going to be tough to beat a good team, rival, 3 times, at their place, and in same year.... but Go Tigers.

Could be at St.X/Trinity rematch in 3rd round.
X has struggled in second half of season 3 years in a row. Curious if it happens again.

I'm not sure what you want to do on offense?? I would bet, without seeing X play, that none of the guards can consistently beat their man off the dribble to create offense so screening, cutting, and ball movement would appear to be the best way to get shooters open and score.
The reality is X just doesn't have many elite level basketball players so they cannot compete with top teams and they really haven't been able to for the past decade.
You’re not wrong but there’s a difference between running plays to get a person a shot in specific place vs running a team offense. I realize that you have to do both but we seem to do the first too often and in my opinion. That is why I say it looks mechanical.

Ben is great. We run way too many set plays; our offense is so mechanical! Hard to watch sometimes.

Cov Cath is very good, had size and disciplined. Going to be a tough out for anyone. On a side note, they do have one fan, that might be a big sister of a player, that is super annoying and yelled the entire game about calls. I guess we all have that one fan but in quiet gyms these days make in unbearable!

I thought Micah Carter might get a few minutes but guess not quite ready since just came back from injury. I heard Ayden Mudd coming back for Brown game next week.
Not who I mean. Big but too raw to help.

Maddening how X never looks to or plays a post player AND Seneca has no size... Both times We did get to high post we got easy points and Never went back. I don’t get it, there are two players on our team that Seneca would not had strength to defend.... we stole that game

Tigers looked great! Not sure what was up with Bardstown , they looked great in warm ups but did not play well considering I think they were ranked high in pre-season. Maybe missing a player...

Looks like another down year for Trinity. Losing to X, without their best player, does not bode well for the season.
Or maybe X is a solid team!

I think Trinity will be fine in the end it’s just not the Trinity talent of three or four years ago.

3 in a row, Go Tigers!

X played well in some spurts but were clearly better team and got away with things they won’t in 7th region. Varga with 7 3s I believe. Walton had some nice shooting kids but not much size and played hard.

IMO it is scheme on Offense and D line has been great for T last couple years. D line is tone setter.

X Defense not bad either. Offense has been tough to watch for 2 years. Hope we get that figured out next year. Trinity very good, congrats.

Favorite part of the game was showing we can throw and can spread it out to other players; all will be necessary to win state!
