Hey Thrillville , haven’t been on Bgp for a couple weeks , seen where you ask if I bowhunt turkeys .. I usually don’t have as much time to dedicate it all to bowhunting , so I usually try to feed some number 4s from my trusty old 20 gauge and get one on the ground early in the season and bowhunt a few days and if I don’t have any luck I’ll bring the ol shotgun back out and try to end it ... I have shot 5 long beards with my bow over the years but it’s tough unless you are in a blind ... I am a run and gun guy most of the time in the spring to just try to get it done ... and another thing that is in my mind I would rather throw a $2 shotgun shell at one instead of a $25 dollar arrow and broadhead combo ... that can get pretty expensive .. I have a totally different concept with deer hunting when it comes to the expense of it , that’s just my wierd way of doing it !!

Just hand them your receipt, it takes like 5 seconds max ... we only get stopped if we have stuff underneath the buggy ... why really is this a problem ??? If you don’t have anything to hide it shouldn’t be a big deal ... some people also just want to be an jerk ... just saying

Trying to run clock did cost them the game ... it’s like a prevent defense with the game on the line ... you can’t give Alabama life and it did ... good game though , field was loaded with some very talented freshman making plays for both teams .. future is bright for both programs ... way to go SEC !!!!

I haven’t gun hunted since 1988 ... hence my BGP name Bow88... got my first bowkill in the fall of 87 and been hooked ever since ... I just bowhunt right on thru the gun seasons ... it’s cost me a couple monster deer over the years but hey it is what you make it ... it’s a fine line between crazy and sanity ... and don’t get me wrong , I don’t have a problem with gun hunting , that’s what I cut my teeth on and both my son and daughter gun hunt as well as bow and crossbow hunt ... just kinda set in my ways now ... but whatever weapon used it’s nothing like sitting out in nature and enjoying what God created ... now can’t wait til spring to get after a big ol thunder chicken !!!!

Congrats Thrillville on your 1st bowkill ... nothin like it ... no better time to be a deer hunter , exploding herd numbers and trophy potential has never been higher ... hope everyone had a successful season ...

Always good to know somebody dd734... good luck with the draw to everyone that puts in ... been to Colorado 3 times to bow hunt them , hell of an experience !!!! Besides working a full time job , I have had a mowing business for the last 31 years ... I have made a lot of money doing it but have made so many friends and life long relationships with my clients that make it more rewarding than the monetary value ... but it does make it hard when these people pass away , even if the family still has me take care of the estate it’s just not the same ... also have developed really good friendships with my clients dogs and they come running when I pull up to get some love ...
