  1. The Jackets used 3 qb’s last year for a while .. one was dismissed from the team and Baxter and Fryman took the snaps the rest of the season ... it was according what sets they were running ... I think the scrimmage you watched had Baxter at q.b. Most of the game and Fryman in the backfield or in the slot .. Baxter was a very good kicker / punter and I hope they have someone coming back that can fill that position ... a good kicking game in high school football can and does win games ...

  2. They have their main playmaker back in Isaac Fryman ... career 1450 yards and 29 touchdowns and kick returner ...he would really benefit from a spread type offense ... he is hard to handle on space .. along with some younger guys coming back that got a lot of playing time last year... had a couple young lineman that grew up last year also ...

  3. Can’t wait myself , been hearing them gobble a little the past couple weeks and seen a couple strutters today going to church ... I hunt with an old h & r single shot 20 gauge that my dad got me for my 12th birthday and I have killed over 50 longbeards in the last 27 years with it ... my friends used to make fun of it saying it was not enough gun to kill a turkey , they don’t say that now ... I have shot birds out to 55 yards using 3 inch #4 shot ... I occasionally shoot 5s if I can’t find 4s... it’s hard to find 4s for 20 gauges ... I have been ordering Winchesters out of Cabelas the last few times I have needed shells ... so don’t let anyone tell ya a 20 gauge won’t get it done ... my son and daughter also use it when they go with me , so it can be used by a wide range of age groups .... I have shot both 10 and 12 gauge turkey loads with 3 and 1/2 inch shells and I agree Thrillville they kick like a frickin bay mule and also so heavy packing them around ... good luck to all this spring on the ol thunder chickens ...

  4. Keep in mind this issue was caused by our state government’s mismanagement of funds!!! So who wants to give up their retirement pensions of any profession for our leaders to do same thing with it ... all this was done very shady from the get go ... our leaders need to look themselves in the mirror and honestly say they did the right thing to our teachers , our policeman , our firefighters and all state employees that this is affecting , I don’t think they can ... and to all the posters saying suck it up and deal with it , well you won’t understand until the government does it to you , let’s see how you feel if you are wearing those shoes!!!

  5. I know Nicholas County’s deer herd has blown up the past 5 years ... I was looking for them to change us to a zone 1 last year but they didn’t ... good time to be a deer hunter ... I really like the idea of crossbow running concurrent with archery season , that gives the youth that just quite can’t shoot a bow yet more days early when the weather is a bit more comfortable for them and also the same with some of our older brethren more days when weather is better .... let’s face it when we get older and blood is a bit thinner it can be tough to sit out there when it’s 15 degrees with a stiff wind blowing in your face like we used to ... Good luck to everyone this fall ... 168 days til bow season opens

  6. I have worked in a machine shop setting up CNC machines , writing programs , etc for the last 27 years ... my side gig is my mowing business for the last 31 years ... also paint a little in the winter ...

  7. ZZ TOP sang it best “everybody is crazy bout a sharp dressed man “!!! Pretty sure mine came from JCPennys, and are nice quality and reasonably priced ... being comfortable in them is the main thing in my opinion ... TAC was on point with different pairs of slacks to mix it up with a nice sports coat along with a couple different ties is always a good option also ... Good luck with your suit quest ...
