  1. I thought it was the coach that got the technical foul after refusing to quit yelling at the official. I can understand his frustration on the calls, but it was called that way for both sides. Lot of fouls, some legit some questionable as there was very little bodily contact. But it was called for both sides so nobody got the advantage from the officials. Close game all the way.

  2. Boone being winless is a surprise to me. Schools that size you would think have good players in every class so your players coming up should be able to take over. I understand the losses to the 9th region teams as they are playing good ball. But all to often as with other big schools, the focus on players is either the starters on varsity or the freshman that are good and the ones in the middle get left out which leads to "rebuilding" seasons. Jv teams often don't get the attention or work to make them better so they will be a good varsity team because the coaches don't see them as great players so they start looking at the "great" freshman and just figure on a bad season after a good or even great one.

  3. Cooper and cov cath will play for region 9 championship. Right now it's early in the season, both teams will be stronger and more in shape than any other team once tournament rolls around. Both teams will have their legs in the 4th when game 25, 26, 27...etc comes around.

Can u predict the future, or just wishful thinking on your part? Looks to me at this point there are plenty of teams that could be there....

  4. There is no clear cut #1 team in the 9th. It's funny how the Cooper win over CCH gets discredited with "it was the first game of the year". Well I'll ask the question of how many football players in that game for CCH started with only 1 week of practice and hadn't touched a basketball since last season? Cooper had 2 along with the 6th man and they beat CCH 13 and it could have been 20. So what does all that mean? Absolutely nothing!! There is parity in this region and for someone to assume that all others are playing for 2nd place behind CCH, or any other team, clearly has their teams colored glasses on.

Where this notion of CCH "superior" coaching comes from boggles my mind and it's quite funny. Last I checked this region had some pretty darn good coaches outside of CCH.

Holy Cross is the hottest team right now and they may or may not be that way come late February and March, remains to be seen.

How about sitting back and enjoying the ride because there isn't going to any tickets punched to Rupp in December.

    Nuff said......

  5. Lamontab makes some very good points based on his opinion. And I would agree with most. And as far as winning last two years district and regionals, not wanting to take anything away from the kids especially, the competition was not at its high level of years before. What happened at state? Cc is a big school. They should be competitive in all sports most of the time. Not some sports every once in a while.

  6. lamontab is not going off of what kids say. He's going off what he sees and so does a lot of other people. As far as coaching for a summer, how about 4 years of spring and summer? And watching those cc boys on his team along with others win over some of the best teams around? Maybe they don't play as good when they are in a cc uniform. If so then that is a coaching problem for not getting the best out of those players!
