Wasn't overall a bad game for hc, (wasn't great either) but was a very bad first quarter. Things got better after the first but still to many turnovers.

I thought it was the coach that got the technical foul after refusing to quit yelling at the official. I can understand his frustration on the calls, but it was called that way for both sides. Lot of fouls, some legit some questionable as there was very little bodily contact. But it was called for both sides so nobody got the advantage from the officials. Close game all the way.

You may be right. You may be wrong. You said yourself you "thought" cch was going to win last year but didn't. Predicting something makes you either right or wrong in the end. What's this huge advantage you speak of? Good luck especially if you have money on it.

Not saying that is Boones issue....

Boone being winless is a surprise to me. Schools that size you would think have good players in every class so your players coming up should be able to take over. I understand the losses to the 9th region teams as they are playing good ball. But all to often as with other big schools, the focus on players is either the starters on varsity or the freshman that are good and the ones in the middle get left out which leads to "rebuilding" seasons. Jv teams often don't get the attention or work to make them better so they will be a good varsity team because the coaches don't see them as great players so they start looking at the "great" freshman and just figure on a bad season after a good or even great one.

Cooper and cov cath will play for region 9 championship. Right now it's early in the season, both teams will be stronger and more in shape than any other team once tournament rolls around. Both teams will have their legs in the 4th when game 25, 26, 27...etc comes around.
Can u predict the future, or just wishful thinking on your part? Looks to me at this point there are plenty of teams that could be there....

I thought cc would win this one.
I don't recall nch having anyone that SHOULD be able to match up with Wilson. those guards for nch, now that's another story..... Figured they would do some damage.

Volatile topic. Parents and kids should make the best decision for themselves based upon multiple facets and not just sports IMHO........
Exactly

Not every player that transfers does it just for the sports. Maybe some of the well known names, but some younger up and coming players transfer also. Academics and all around better school atmosphere can be a big part.

There is no clear cut #1 team in the 9th. It's funny how the Cooper win over CCH gets discredited with "it was the first game of the year". Well I'll ask the question of how many football players in that game for CCH started with only 1 week of practice and hadn't touched a basketball since last season? Cooper had 2 along with the 6th man and they beat CCH 13 and it could have been 20. So what does all that mean? Absolutely nothing!! There is parity in this region and for someone to assume that all others are playing for 2nd place behind CCH, or any other team, clearly has their teams colored glasses on.
Where this notion of CCH "superior" coaching comes from boggles my mind and it's quite funny. Last I checked this region had some pretty darn good coaches outside of CCH.
Holy Cross is the hottest team right now and they may or may not be that way come late February and March, remains to be seen.
How about sitting back and enjoying the ride because there isn't going to any tickets punched to Rupp in December.
Nuff said......

Good game from where I stand. You wanna talk about fouls though? 2 hands on the ball handler is a def foul and everyone knows it, yet ncc got away with it a bunch...... Maybe hc to, bit ncc was doin it every possession. Not complaining, but don't complain about ncc getting hammered in the paint when they couldn't keep their hands off the ball handler
-
They have a losing record at 4-5. Where would you put them?
I was being sarcastic. I don't see how they are ranked 2 in the tenth!
-
Camels ranked 2nd in the 10th but not even on the list here????
-
Looking to see a good one tonight with holy Cross and ncc. See if the 3 ball falls for hc like usual at home.

Now I do believe we should move on.....

Lamontab makes some very good points based on his opinion. And I would agree with most. And as far as winning last two years district and regionals, not wanting to take anything away from the kids especially, the competition was not at its high level of years before. What happened at state? Cc is a big school. They should be competitive in all sports most of the time. Not some sports every once in a while.

Thanks I'm new at this

Final score at Rowan County.

But like someone else stated, it happens at allot of schools. Players who are good in middle school are thought to be best in high school and coaches don't look at the ones who got better coming up. Last name, money, coaches kids, all things that play a role at some schools instead of just talent and hard work.

lamontab is not going off of what kids say. He's going off what he sees and so does a lot of other people. As far as coaching for a summer, how about 4 years of spring and summer? And watching those cc boys on his team along with others win over some of the best teams around? Maybe they don't play as good when they are in a cc uniform. If so then that is a coaching problem for not getting the best out of those players!

Not a good game for holy Cross at all. Not as many turn overs as the last game but struggled on defense. Allowed allot of open shots. Couldn't get the shots to fall either. Out rebounded. Bad night all around in my opinion
