I know Barnes has an offer from Toledo and another MAC school. I think it's Western or Eastern Michigan.
I know Illinois old head coach really liked Barnes

Who makes the call on who gets selected?
each head coach selects 5 from their school

That's one lucky kid that survived a 10 foot drop and the powerful grip of a gorilla. I'm sure the parents will keep both eyes on their kid going forward, cause there lives were one really bad move away from something extremely tragic

I follow a few teams, so one for each
Lloyd: 2003 state semis against Belfry
Holy Cross: 2009 against Beechwood
CovCath: 2001 state semis against Rockcastle County
Newport: 2005 regional vs. Russell
Brossart: 2015 playoff vs. Raceland

Mercer County boys and Boyle County girls won team state championships in 2A
Mercer County winning reminds me of some of the great athletes Harrodsburg had

Two words:
Death penalty.
If there were ever a case for it to be used again (and I don't think it will be), this is it.
The only way the death penalty will apply here is if they got in trouble and were punished by the NCAA recently. The rule is called the repeat violator rule
I could see them getting the Penn State punishment

Reports say Bluiett is expected to return to X.
Bluiett told Xavier he's coming back

Agree. Need to eliminate 1 round for sure.
Do you move the state finals up to Thanksgiving weekend, or move the 1st round back to the 2nd weekend in November,
or do you keep the 1st round on the 1st weekend in November, keep the finals on the 1st weekend in December and give each team Thanksgiving weekend off?

I like the list, I would make a couple changes
1. CovCath
2. Cooper
3. Holmes
4. NewCath
5. Dixie
6. Conner
7. Highlands
8. Ryle
tied for 9. St. Henry & Holy Cross

Seed the playoffs and you will see a better slate of finals.Travel would be terrible if they did that.
what about seeding in the semifinals? I think Ohio does that now

could a mod please delete post 5, same post as post 4

I think a large reason is due to how many classes there are now, but I also think some of it has to do with this explosion of fast, athletic offenses and not many teams are able to keep up defensively.
To add onto that, there are times late in the game when teams realize that either they have or their opponent has nothing left in the tank and you see insurance points added on late in the game. Pikeville beat Beechwood 42-28, but it was tied at 21 at the end of the 3rd quarter

if they all fail, then Kentucky is looking at a bowl game this season

Would love to see powerlifting competitions back in NKY. Went down to a power lifting meet at Central Hardin several years ago and it was electric.

I root for Cincinnati, Virginia Tech and Ohio
Kentucky - there's a commitment to football now and I'd like to see a bunch of our local boys in a bowl game
Miami (FL) - i think Richt is the right fit for that job
Michigan State - mainly to shut up Michigan and Ohio State fans
Western Kentucky - love the transition they made to FBS, staying strong in recruiting their guys
Hawaii - i love late night football

I saw somewhere that Holy Cross was playing some of their games at TMC this season. What kind of zoning stuff would TMC run into to get lights?

1st or last choice, all irrelevant now. Congratulations Fro

Sounds like good news, sending more prayers his way

Jamale Carothers - Bowling Green
Just over 2000 yards total offense. 20 rushing TDs. Don't think he'll be the favorite going into the season, but should be up for consideration
-
What time does the 3A meet start today?

Congrats to all, well deserved
I thought Erich Jakobowski was deserving of an honorable mention nod

Congrats to Jackson! I know he was having tough time deciding where to go. Had a full ride offer to Ohio Valley and was also offered a partial from Christian Brothers University.
Glad he took his time and picked the personal fit, congratulations

I saw a few people download and print the online version before they got there. Someone from Mason County made some from me when I bought it from them, well worth it
