Don't think he'll get much love on here cause of the school he goes to, but the numbers Jake Martin is putting up at Brossart this year has been incredible. 13.5 sacks, 60+ solo tackles, I think over 100 including assists. I watched him against Aiken, Bracken and Paris. He might be one of the best defensive tackles I've seen in Class A and NKY this year. I saw Ball State was recruiting him, anyone else?

I love watching Justin Blackburn play, one of the toughest players in the state. But LHC will have enough to keep him in check and will get the win in a good one. I think LHC by 2 tds

I like the order based on what the teams have done this year. Only thing I would do is switch Russellville and Raceland. I know Raceland took Paintsville to overtime, but I actually think Russellville and Beechwood are the 2 best teams in Class A
-
Would love to see Bracken get the win, and get more coverage in NKY.
-
After last year's playoff game along with their last 2 games, I don't think Raceland will overlook Brossart.
-
The one that I would consider as a major upset if it happens is Paris over Paintsville. Paris can score points quickly and often. They had close games with run heavy Nicholas and Bracken and hung with Brossart. Paintsville is a different animal, but if Paris keeps their composure, they are capable of a big upset

Raceland vs. Brossart: both teams are 8-2 and have been ranked in the top 10 this year.
-
On the radio they said both leading rushers were absent from the game??
how bad are their injuries? will they good for the 1st round?
-
from what i heard, both teams got most of the notable debris off the field, but from the sidelines you could see the shine from some of the small pieces of glass.
-
2 hard hitting, athletic teams. unlike most 1st round games, this will have a true playoff feel
-
Loved watching Randy Moss and Antwan Randle El, but Peter Warwick was probably my favorite

If this is the mentality, why even play the game? Seriously, why bother? Talk to your AD and say, "Stop the series!"
Good grief. I thought St. Xavier of Louisville was an all boys school...

This is the mentality of just about every team in Kentucky. Unlike Ohio where every game matters, week 10 in KY is a non-district week. Most teams know where they are playing in the 1st round, so the big task is avoiding big injuries and suspensions. Yeah, you try to win every game but if your star player has a bad ankle and can use a week off to get healthy, then you let them recover for the playoffs.

So Nicholas beats Brossart by 10, Brossart beats Bracken by 20, Bracken beats Nicholas by 1. Paris has close games with Bracken and Nicholas, and gets in a shoot out with Brossart. So the question is, how good is this district?

If a drum or any noise maker is bothering a team, they can ask an official to make them stop.
-
Bombers needs to win this game for a shot at the playoffs.
-
Wow, HC offense is rolling

It's incredible what you can achieve... When you believe
I've been waiting to say that all year, congratulations Rebels

If Bracken is #1, they will get a bye in the 1st round and will get the winner of Raceland vs Brossart. If they are #2, they get Fairview in the 1st round.
Paintsville gets Paris in the first round
-
Bracken is a tough team, but Nicholas is built for these run heavy stack the box games. Both teams know what's a stake. I think Nicholas will have too much in the backfield and wins by a possession or two. Should be a very good game

The Big 12 will expand when it's too late. There's going to be a season where Texas wins the Big 12 in football, and gets passed over for the playoff. Once that happens, they'll expand
-
The 2 seed gets the convenience of staying at home in round 1. Not that it will matter for either team in this case, but nobody wants to a sit on a bus for an hour

Who I could see UC go after if they fire Tuberville:
PJ Fleck from Western Michigan
Bo Pelini from Youngstown State
Kerry Coombs or Luke Fickell from Ohio State
Who I want UC to go get:
Greg Schiano from Ohio State
Steve Stripling from Tennessee
What UC will do: keep Tuberville and the "Low T" Offense

I have a serious question about Highlands. What are some of the things that are different than they were a few years ago? Are they losing a good amount of Ft. Thomas League players to other programs? Did they change up the defense?
-
Nice win for Brossart! Bracken needs to regroup and take a look at adding some things on offense. It almost seemed like Brossart knew what they were running most of the 2nd half.

Brossart not in the mix on that one? They did beat them by 20 with a backup QB and a starting offensive lineman out.
