  1. Great point! Like, who would have figured that over the last four head to head meetings, the lowly suckeyes would be 4-0 vs ND, winning all four by 13 points or more? Just goes to show you, even the mighty can fall...

OH NO!!!! HERE WE GO!!!! This is a topic for the college football thread. LOL!!!

    Sorry - I know - couldn't resist....

  2. I will admit that every team is able to be beaten at some point... I cheer for the Suckeyes one day a year.

But, hard to imagine SK not coming away with a win.

  3. Shouldn't have even come to that. If the officials do their job in the first place a review is never even needed to begin with.

Trust me, I'm with you, but, Marv has got to throw the flag there. Unfortunately, the "hard hitting" local media will let it go. But even if they called him out on it, who cares? They still lost.

  4. Before everyone runs away with some halftime adjustments belief, here are CCH's halftime adjustments:

    1. Beechwood's first possession after halftime, bad decision on trying to go for a fake punt by our punter tackled on the 25. Short field TD for CCH.

    2. Second possession, second pass, pick 6 for CCH.

    3. Third possession, first play, pass goes right through Beechwood receiver's hands into a CCH players hands for an interception on the 23-yard line. Short-field TD.

Three touchdowns on three mistakes by Beechwood. 30-10 ... Ballgame.

Exactly - no reason for "cloud 9" in Park Hills. Tons of work to do.

  5. We are off on tangent but Sycamore wasn't a game they were supposed to win.

You're right - first win against a team they weren't supposed to beat in a long, long time. Glass half full outlook: something to celebrate. Glass half empty outlook: it's about darn time. Wake me up when they beat Highlands twice and contend for a state title.

  6. I've been thinking about this recently. With other traditional powers having changed coaches in the past couple years and seeing a decline in success, what will Trinity do post-Beatty? I think it's a forgone conclusion that the next coach will have a pretty difficult, if not impossible time duplicating or continuing the success Beatty has had. How much of it is the players Trinity has to choose from versus the coach? We've already seen schools like Male close the gap, and St. X is usually right there as well. When Beatty leaves, is it blood in the water for 6A?

I lean towards continued success for Trinity, but I don't see them continuing the dominance they have had over the state in recent memory. I think they will always have the horses, but I do think that Beatty has a lot to do with the success there.

Hard to fathom T not continuing the tradition of excellence. The brand sells and you can set your watch by the fact that they'll find an excellent replacement, inside or out. The beat will go on.
