He'll be a cornhusker. They've been recruiting him hard and I'm pretty sure he has a cousin going to Nebraska too. I would be shocked if he lands somewhere else. So he'll get a shot at the Buckeyes for sure. The Nebraska WR coach has been tweeting stuff like "don't go to your dream school. Go to your dream situation. If your dream school doesn't go as planned it could become a nightmare" I'm pretty sure 62-3 is more of nightmare. But what do I know.
Yep - that vaunted passing history at Nebraska. Good luck with that.
-
I hope he signs with a frequent OSU opponent and gets taken to school by the new, 5 star silver bullets. But, if he's really this petty, I wonder if he will ever see the field anywhere.
-
My best guess and being a cryptic tweet reader, is that Martell and Lindsey had some sort of falling out presumably over something Martell said which if I had to guess has to deal with Martell raving about other recruits who play the same position as Lindsey. But we'll find out more tonight.
Haha if true, then ridiculous. 18 year old drama queens. Whatever. Sometimes I wonder how adult men (coaches) can subject themselves to this garbage. Between this and these jokers with their selection announcements.

Sean Dineen - CCH 87 - Penn for hoops
Mike Wilson - CCH 88 - Princeton for FB

Some of these OSU guys are making very questionable early entry decisions. Brown this year, Powell and Marshall last year. Feeling like they cost themselves some dough. They didn't miss Powell, but Marshall would have been a nice piece in 16.
Time to develop some explosiveness on the perimeter.

The last decade until last year they never have won anything. No district title etc because Highlands was in their district. They seem to ride the HHS coat tails in thinking they were something special when in reality they had nothing to back it up all those years. That was all. I never meant they weren't any good, I meant they hadn't won anything to put themselves in an elite class that some of their fans put them in.
They didn't win anything last year either. Beating HHS in 2016 was no accomplishment. We'll see what the future holds.
I don't think the CCH fan base is as delusional as you may think. I certainly haven't seen the fan base on BGP claim superiority over other NKY programs, especially the Boone County schools. Are there exceptions? Sure, but it's a very small number - EVERY school has them.
Moving on...
-
I thought 2 years ago was their year but last years team was even better.
My remarks was directed to the member member who tried to say everyone in NKY hid from CCH. My point was, why would they be afraid of CCH when over the past decade they didn't do anything.
I haven't been a member for long, however, long enough to know that if a CCH person made such a comment, it was ignorant. You said CCH fans always bring it up. That's simply not true. Then, you weren't further to point out that CCH has not been very good over the past decade. Thanks for the reminder.

Noah Brown gone - expected?
-
Nope. Never said that as that is one tired myth always brought up by HHS and CCH fans. Show us the proof that that has been the case and I'd take it back. Seeing how Ryle has played HHS going back years and if they were willing to play HHS they surely weren't afraid to play CCH who was never at HHS caliber the last decade. Maybe schools like Ryle and Cooper and others were waitin for CCH to build up their program to make it worth while. I've never seen any proof that over the years CCH asking Cooper to play.
You're right, CCH has been working hard to build up its program. Maybe they'll measure up someday...Colonel fans can only hope...

Covington will be just fine.

In that situation, how does the penn State qb throw a jump ball two plays in a row?
Not a fan of his shenanigans. Live by the sword, die by the sword. His wild abandon caught up with him. I wish a USC player would have mocked him with that stupid home run swing he does. Too bad kid.

Titusville High is the home of Cris Collinsworth, I believe.

May God be with the Bushelman and Beechwood Family.

How did the HHS QB from last year do up there this year? Redshirt?
-
Love how much the CCH community has done, and continues to do, to keep the Spirit of the Williams boys alive and well. Well done boys. Good luck today - safe travels home.
-
Would love to see HC send a young man to the Big Ten. But again, best wishes for picking the right situation for him.

What is considered "top shelf" for a high school player?
-
Purdue offers a great education, a more marketable diploma, and the challenge of playing in one of the top conferences in the country. But, best wishes for finding the program that fits best for him. Good luck Derrick!
-
What is the format? Two games and done? Or is there an elimination phase?
-
Well said Walter. As best they can, it's gotta be next man up. A great opportunity for some young man/men to answer the bell. Get well soon CJ!
-
And no CCH cheering section.

Oops - we have an echo. Merge thread please.

Final from Florence. 42-6 at half, CCH emptied bench to start fourth quarter.

Is Irving Fryar the last Husker receiver of any consequence in the NFL? Surely not, right? I have to be missing someone.
