Cal should win this game.. but I wouldn't be surprised if Danville pulled off the upset

This is from a completely unbiased observer who went to watch a good high school football game and got exactly what I was hoping for. Barns for Holy Cross was probably the best player on the field, that kid is good. Danville was probably the better more complete team. There were a handful of questionable calls both ways but there were definitely a couple towards the end of the game that did not help Danville.

 

The last play of the game for Holy Cross that was somewhat controversial, I was discussing it with @Lawnboy13. The running backs forward momentum had definitely stopped and the pile while still going side to side was not advancing forward for several seconds. After a few seconds Abernathy surged forward and went past the first down marker. Neither Lawnboy 13 or I heard a whistle blow but it was obvious to us that it should have been blown and the play ended. Definitely not the way Holy Cross players and fans want the game to end and that is completely understandable. I myself wanted to see the game continue and see how it would play out.

 

By the way I would like to give a huge shout-out to the Holy Cross fans that allowed me and a couple of other non Holy Crossers to join them for some pre-game tailgating activities and some awesome food. I think the brat I had was the best I've ever eaten. Huge shout out to Amy and Bill for that it was greatly appreciated. I hope everyone had a safe ride home.

That was my mother and father who fed you the amazing Finke brats and I Agree mostly everything you said and it was a great game to watch! I know my parents enjoyed you guys at the tailgate!

I loved watching these Crossbacks tonight. They left their hearts on the field. Very proud of how they represented NKY

 

Officials missed on a few calls, but at the end of the day, you can't pin the whole game on stripes

Xaviers feet was still moving and he was moving forward. Should of been a first Down. But doesn't mean holy cross would score. But the refs never gave us a chance to find out

Great game by Danville. Holy cross played their hearts out. Proud to be an Indian. Proud to see my team fight all the way to the end with everything going against them, being down 3 tds, with questionable calls by the refs, being 2 hours away from home. Proud to be a crossback

This is a fact. When you go downstate you have to win by 3 touchdowns because the country refs are good for 2 touchdowns for the home team.

Totally agree.. when they said home field advantage would win this game I didn't think it would be the refs..
