By U12 they should be getting into tactical decisions. When playing small sided soccer, it is more about getting a greater number of touches and perhaps decision making. Technical theory is ok at that age, but as the reply above references corner kicks,.. in small sided games the corners are short and the player count is smaller. You can teach tactical concepts, but until you are 11v11, working a great deal on corners may not be so productive over the long term. It may win you some small sided games, but unless you are teaching to traits that translate directly to 11v11, it may be a waste. At U12 the coach should be instilling tactical ideas and letting players make their own decisions without to much screaming of instructions. Technical ability and tactical awareness need to be paired. If you have one and not the other, your value to a team suffers.

Big game in Louisville this evening. Trinity visits St X. Trinity has a strong defense, but doesn't produce as many goals as they have in the past. St X has played a solid schedule. Trinity has owned the region in the past three years. Rain may be a factor. Prediction: Trinity scores one early, St X presses late and gives up a late one on a counter attack. 2-0 Trinity

I have no idea. They beat Ballard, which would have set up a Trinity vs. Collegiate match, which would have been a great match up on a neutral field. Collegiate plays a very poor schedule, so it is hard to see how good they really are. They travel to St Louis this weekend for some games, so that may shed some light on their potential.

I believe most college coaches do much of their recruiting during the spring. They can go to a top flight club event or tournament and watch 10 legitimate players in one afternoon. Many high school games would only feature one, maybe two players. Smaller college coaches may hit some games when available. Some coaches also watch for players during camp season.

I think Collegiate played the first round game, won and then had to choose to play in the All "A" semis/finals.

St X beat collegiate 3-1 early in the season. Haji was red carded early in the game, for profanity. He also had to sit during their tie to South Warren as a result of the red card. I believe they can play with anyone. They are good, but perhaps a short bench. Heavy legs may get to them later in the season. They have the All A classic and a weekend trip to st louis coming up which may grind them down a bit.

by looking at the Collins schedule, I would say they are not much of a threat. 2-8-1 appears to have 5 seniors on the roster.

Collegiate is hard to beat with Haji playing. Manual is in good form right now. Trinity is strong defensively, but not the scoring threat they have been in the past. Ballard could surprise.

Trinity won 2-0. It seemed the Sallies had a little more time of possession, but Trinity took full advantage of their chances. Sallies had a player pick up a second yellow and it was all over at that point. Trinity looked good on set pieces
