Somerset is not coming back up according to the information I am getting. So does this not count at all?
I thought it had to be a half but coach Rash said it was official 28-0 so not sure.
-
So game won’t count I believe unless Somerset wants to come back up. Doubt that will happen.
-
So essentially it’s time for the GCL to get CovCath back on the schedule?
It will be hard for Cov Cath every year to have teams like they had last year and this year and always stay competitive with big school GCL teams. It’s a numbers game. Last time Cov Cath played a GCL school it didn’t end well.

NKY is a power area for KY football. Having one team win every game by a running clock in an area that has a rep for playing string football is a bad look. Great for the Colonels. Bad for NKY.
It’s really been just this past year. Its not like this run has been going on for a long time. Cov Cath has had superior talent. Before that it was Highlands. Two years ago they lost to Ryle and the year before that they had a losing record, also losing to Ryle. I would say that right now they have just accumulated a ton of talent but it will most likely even back out, especially at the higher classes.

This streak is not a good look for teams in NKY.
It’s not just NKy teams. It includes teams from Lexington, Louisville, Bowling Green, Oldham County, and Madison County off the top of my head.

He looks really good. Saw he is from New Albany, IN. Is that correct? I know he went to Trinity.

The more I think about last year’s game the more nervous this game makes me. I am not sure what Somerset lost but I remember not being able to move the ball against their defense. I don’t know if this Beechwood offense is at last year’s level yet. I know this will be a good learning experience for some of the inexperience places on this offense. Excited to see how the game goes and what the team can gain from this matchup.
The only thing about last year is that the Beechwood line kind o struggled early last year and the QB was not a threat to run. Last year James Davis first 100 yard game was in the 6th game of the year. Last week two guys went for over 100 and the QB is a real threat to run and pass. Should be a good game though.

Wow didn’t know that. Thought they just got steamrolled.
Not sure how it was so close into the 3rd. For the game Scott county rushed for over 600 yds and allowed -7. They did give up 243 passing yards, so Highlands better be prepared to stop the run and be able to pass the ball.

Got to get this back to the top. What’s the weather for this game?
Party cloudy, no rain. Probably in the 70’s during the game.
-
Nice win for Pikeville. Sounds like they have a really nice team.
-
Simon Kenton?
No I think Campbell County is best in 6a in NKY this year.
-
SC is really good this year. 601 yards rushing.
I think Highlands is much better maybe 2nd or 3rd best team in NKY. Scott County was down in 3rd QTR tonight to an average team before turning it on. Highlands crushed probably the best 6a team in NKY.
-
All too much. Based on tonight, I don't think they're in a league with Scott County.
I disagree. I don’t think Scott County is as strong this year. I was surprised by this Highlands score tonight. Game is at Highlands this year. I think they beat Scott County next week.
-
A little surprised this one did not get to a running clock.
It really could have been. Up 35-0 in the 3rd and started subbing. Lloyd also ran 99% of the time so clock moved quick

7-0 Tigers. Luke Bolger with a great catch in end zone

Scott County hosts Lafayette after beating North Bullitt as expected. Lafayette opens the season hoping they can get a top win. Who wins?
Didn’t Lafayette get a win over Bryan Station on Friday?

2007.... Advanced to Regional lost to Ryle
2008... Advanced to Regional Beat Male went to State semifinals lost to X
Been deep in the playoffs year end and year out. I disagree with strength of schedule look up the strength of schedule . No respect for Meade plus they only dress on average 30 to 40 kids if that. They are always getting no love I remember in 08 Meade was picked to lose against Male and after it was over all crickets. That's how it always Is, some schools dont have the luxury of dressing 80 kids. These boys play both sides of the ball SK probably has starters on each side.. That speaks volumes on the conditioning and coaching on Meade some of you are crazy saying Meade has no business playing SK.... 2001 St.X said the same thing.... "Little" Meade County upset them.
Any reason they only get 30 or 40 kids? They are a 6a school with roughly 800 boys in the school.

Question what teams over this run that Covcath beat. That teams like a Scott County wouldn't have done the same too? What top 10 teams in the state did they beat in the state during this run? They are great and not doubt top 3 or 4 in the whole state the last 2 years.
I don’t know. They put a running clock on every team they play. They destroyed Ryle again, who I guess is a top 10 school in 6a, won state last year with little resistance. I am not a Cov Cath guy but my lord. They crush everyone they face, be it in Ohio, KY or Indiana.
-
Why is it hard to believe that they may not have beat those teams mentioned? While what they have done is very impressive. During this run, they haven't beaten a team that would be considered a top 10 team in the state when looking at the state as a whole or maybe one team at best.
Again. Seriously?
-
I believe that Cov Cath wouldn’t have beat St. X or Scott Co. last year. My opinion is based on seeing all four teams play in person. Having two way players is most times a big disadvantage. But we all have opinions.
Seriously?

Good for DeSales.
-
Cov Cath has it rolling. Not a big surprise.
-
Are we seeing depth here?
I might have missed something. What was this in reference to?
-
I guess question should be if 2a and 3a are better than 4a? We might find out if 1a is better than 4a tonight.
Beechwood 28 Somerset 0

That’s probably right. Beechwood looked really good before the weather. Their line opens some holes. Looking forward to Corbin next week.
