Have you been under a Rock? No pun intended but we have had problems for over 15 years ….now he is gone and we have a coach that wants to win but you have to rebuild the culture the same way his dad did and he is doin that. It’s evident every week with the amount of support from the community Rome nor Rockcastle was built over night but he has already achieve what the last administration couldn’t and that was a 3rd round game at home last year against Lex Catholic. Now that game never went the way it could have but with nearly every key play injured for that game we knew it was a tall task. Under Parkey his entire coach career at Rock which was the coach who replace Tom Larkey he never made it out of the 2nd round and never had 11 win season. Chris Larkey did both those last year in just his 2nd year back. This is his 3rd year now 2021 was his first. We will be just fine regardless of the outcome of tonight’s game we are in good hands.

Just hours away where are you Paris fans at ? Would love for all the Paris fans to chime in and say how they see the game going especially after last year where is everyone at ?

Rock fans have waited an entire year for this game. It’s been circled on the calendar since the end of last years game at Paris when we lost by a FG when their shouldn’t have been any time left on the clock yet they go back and add 1 second. Funny thing is as wild as that was it ended up being the reason we were seated behind Bell County as the number 2 spot in the RPI and had to play Lex Catholic in the 3rd round instead of being the number 1 seed ahead of Bell as we went to log mountain and won the head to head matchup. While this game means nothing as far as district goes it means a lot more come playoff especially if we repeat as district champs and a loss to Paris comes into play in the RPI again. Rock should be ready to play as the season officially kicks off Friday night as the next 3 weeks will determine where we stand. Rock 35 Paris 20
