My mom and dad own about 70 acres of mostly mountainous land that surrounds their property. When I was a kid, every Thanksgiving, while mom was cooking our dinner, my dad would take my brother and me up through the hills for several hours. We would select a Christmas tree and cut it down. I kind of miss those days. I haven't had a real tree in over 25- 30 years. Some years, I don't even put one up. Christmas hasn't been a big deal in our family since our grandfather died. When he died so did so many of our Christmas traditions.

I don't like Mike and Mike either. I actually like Golic, but Greeny gets on my nerves. That all being said, they do compliment each other.

We have a Buicke Stove we burn coal and mostly wood in and central air. We use the wood stove just because we enjoy sitting around a fire. I love reading a book while doing so.

Like last year, I think OSU wins again. IMO once again, the SEC is good top to bottom but when you take some of the best teams from other conferences, they are very beatable. We found that out last bowl season.

I'm really happy the Woverines hung close. I love that school and community.

Kash Daniel. I've seen Paintsville play twice this year including the Pikeville game. He dominated both games on both sides of the ball.

Yes, it really is a little Detroit now. I used to go to Huntington a lot but not as much anymore. The drug trafficking is rampant there. There are a lot of shootings as a result. Everything is relative though. Maybe things are worse in northern Kentucky and the Cincy area. I'm not familiar with that area.
