I think Mayfield is MOST LIKELY to lose, but I'm not predicting a loss.

I was honestly surprised that was what you believed.
The Catholic schools were, for the longest time, nothing like you described at all. It hasn't really been until the turn of the century that you started to see them go away from their more blue collar roots. Trinity im particular probably didn't start to have more than 50% sons of college grads until the 90s. A lot of T guys were first generation to go to college up until that point.
I know many other schools had similar histories too.
Although if you weren't from the area or familiar with them, I suppose that the heresay and rumors about the schools would predominate.
Yeah, I honestly thought they were for the privileged and elite. I'm from the eastern side of the state so there are very few Catholic schools around here. I associated higher level football programs like Cov Cath, St X, Trinity, Lex Cath, etc with these schools. I also always associated tuition with these schools. I was obviously ignorant about Catholic schools. Just for the record, one of my old high school teams and friends Brandon Combs coach football at Trinity a couple years ago.

Really?
Really what?

That was an interesting article. I knew nothing about Trinity outside their football tradition. I assumed the school was strictly for the wealthy, academically gifted, and\or the athletically gifted. I was obviously wrong.

I agree with you all. This honor was long overdue. I guess the university hasn't acted more quickly because the stadium bears his name, and the street in front of the stadium was renamed after him and his wife.

This was a very nice preview. Great work.

I'm taking Paris. Go Hounds!

I don't live in an area that has pizza delivery, but the last time I did I usually tipped around $5 but never more. I haven't eaten out in a restaurant in probably 4 years, but I usually tipped $5 but never more. I don't play golf. I've only experienced valet parking once and that was at a hospital. Well as far as not tipping, I haven't not tipped since eating at the GOLDEN CORAL in Russell. I went forever without a refill and she was slow about bringing me another stack of plates. I guess she was offended by my sweat towel.

What are your thoughts\predictions on the Paris at Bethlehem game?

I love listening to Marty. I hope he keeps the gig for a long while to come.

What are everyone's thoughts\predictions on the Lewis County @ Greenup County matchup?

I'm a Western Hills fan so I'm going with them on this one.

RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University will unveil a statue of College Football Hall of Fame coach Roy Kidd on Saturday, Sept. 23.

I agree. Friday night lights should be reserved for high school football.

I think Barry Sanders should have been ahead of Emmitt Smith. Emmitt had the benefit of running behind the monster offensive lines in Dallas. Barry Sanders sure didn't have that luxury.

Well, the score sure surprised me. I know nothing about either team, but the game thread leading up to this game had me thinking Mayfield may be in trouble. Congrats to them. It's always great seeing a Kentucky team beat a Tennessee team.
