Here are the results for this week's Louisville Regional contest. As always, the results won't be final for 24 hours. All contestants should use that time to check their score for errors. After that time period has passed, the contest is final and the winner should use the following link to claim the prize of choice. If you think your score is incorrect, please send me a PM and I will look into your claim.
Results of the games in this week's contest:
South Oldham 23 Oldham County 17
Male 30 Butler 12
DeSales 38 Lexington Catholic 24
Bardstown 26 Thomas Nelson 16
Collins 34 Spencer County 14
There were (too) many perfect scores but only two who picked DeSales as their first tiebreaker. The second tiebreaker, time of post, was necessary to break the tie.
Congrats to this week's winner: @Jlew, please follow the link below for prize information.

Holy Cross may be best positioned to take full advantage of the Beechwood move to 2A.
However, this year I look for the Eagles of Campbellsville to win their second regional title in a row.
I love the Rockets but Campbellsville has a ton of speed and a quarterback to put them in position to make plays. As Sport of Kings points out, their defense isn’t bad either.
Rockets have to come to Campbellsville, already looking forward to that one.

Just evidence that there are too many classes in KY.
You may be right but there were plenty of good programs in 2A at the time. Mayfield was still 1A, Danville was down, LCA, CAL, and DeSales were all good but were not yet the elite programs they would become.
Covington Holy Cross beat their nemesis Newport Central Catholic to win their region and a very good Glasgow team for the title, perhaps the best team in Scotties’ history.
-
Off topic...Is Covington Holy Cross the most out of nowhere state champion in recent memory?
-
I think that is a cheap way to decide a winner. I would prefer it being a tie over deciding a winner on one play.
I like the idea of having to go for 2 after a td, though many Jv/Frosh teams may go for two all the time anyway.

Bluegrasspreps.com is giving you a chance to show off your football knowledge statewide! The Bluegrasspreps Regional Pick 'em gives you a chance to pick games in different parts of the state for prizes EACH WEEK.
There will be five regional contests every week. You will have a chance to pick the winners in each region -- NKY, EKY, Lexington/Central Ky, Louisville, and WKY.
Each region will have five games to pick from each week. We pick the games, and you will pick the winner of each game, assigning your picks a point value of 7-5-3-2-1.
The first tiebreaker is picking the team (of the ten teams in the contest) that scores the most points. You don't have to pick the highest scoring team, you just have to pick a team that scores more points than the team(s) picked by the member(s) you are tied with.
The second tiebreaker is time of post.
This is a season long contest and you can enter in any or all regions that you wish.
At the end of the regular season, the top two finishers in each region will compete during the playoffs for statewide bragging rights on Bluegrasspreps. If a contestant qualifies in more than one region, then the highest point total statewide from a non-qualifying contestant will advance as a Wild Card.
The best part is, if you win a weekly contest, you will receive a quality prize. Contest Prizes for the 2018-2019 School Year
The overall state winner after the playoffs will get a grand prize custom made for you.
The deadline for all entries is 5 p.m. (ET) Friday.
Be sure to post your winners and assign each of them one of the following point values (7-5-3-2-1) based on how strongly you feel that that team will win.
(Please note that if your selections are NOT in the specified format, your ENTIRE set of picks will be voided)
