  1. Going from memory... as I haven't seen the box score this morning. Sr. guard Aleha Tucker led the way with 27. Sr. Courtney Turner and So. Olivia Crigler added 11 each for HC. HC transfer Zyah Beal paced the Rebels with 11. Best wishes going forward with BC.
  2. Ally Johnson had like 29 or so, she was spectacular and kept Beechwood in the game (obviously). HC battling the injury bug. Needs to get healthy for Districts.
  3. I mean Alexis Stewart above and not Athena Brown... what I get for hurrying...
  4. Holy Cross rallied from 4 down in the 7th to tie. Athena Brown had a good day at the plate, which set the table several times for the top of the order. Sophomore Alehia Tucker picked up the win and also had a key bases clearing triple that got HC back in the game. After tying the game in the 7th, Bracken County jumped right back out on top in the 8th by one. 8th grader Kaitlin Turner singled home the tying run with 2 out and her sister Courtney brought her home with a fly ball along the right field foul line that the right fielder couldn't catch up to for the game winner.
  5. In game one, Courtney Turner (Indians' soph SS) blasted a 2-run home run as HC tried to mount a late comeback. Congrats on her first (non-inside-the-park) HR.
  6. Haylee Smith. Enough said. One-hitter (8th Grader Kaitlin Turner).
  7. Yes. It was a rough 1st inning. From what I've heard, the HC pitcher (an 8th grader) suffered an injury sometime during the inning and tried to finish anyway. Hoping it was just soreness that will work itself out with a few days' rest. At any rate, going to be a tough year for the Indians. I believe they have 1 senior and only a couple of juniors. Very, Very young. Turner and Tucker continued their hot start and collected the only hits for HC in the shortened game.
  8. From the Cappel Sports Complex in Latonia - - - Cavalry jumped out to a 5-0 lead only to see Holy Cross come back and take a 12-9 lead into the 7th. A 4-run 7th lifted Cavalry Christian to the win. Sophomores Aleah Tucker and Courtney Turner had big nights for the young Indians. Tucker was 4-6 including a couple bunt singles and an inside the park 2-run HR. Turner was 3-4 including a pair of RBI doubles. She was also walked with the bases loaded to finish with 3 RBIs.
