  1. The fouls were 6-1 in Coopers favor at one point in the first half...don’t blame the officials.

Every time someone mentions officiating people talk about the foul count. Is that the only thing officials call is fouls??

Not blaming the officials for the lose Cooper had their chance in OT.

Sully got T for being out of coaches box witch is a joke.

  2. That's the bottom line. A lot of teams "keep it close" but Jags are tough when they find their groove defensively which typically helps them put up enough points win games. They are giving up 44 points per game defensively and have only yielded over 50 points 6 times and are 3-3 when they do so typically when they hold teams under 51 points they are tough to beat. Cooper's bread is buttered on the defensive end of the floor.

The best part of watching this team is they have just as much fun playing defense as they do playing offense.

Second their so unselfish at times I feel to unselfish none of these young men care who scores they just wanta win.

  3. Cooper had 10 total fouls in the game. The officials did NOT impact this game, besides the technical called on Harding that fouled him out in the 3rd quarter. Newport outplayed Cooper in the 4th. McGuire also sat a long period of time for unknown reasons.

That said, Cooper was clearly challenged by their coach at halftime and those boys responded. Houston was phenomenal, and Walters was very efficient. Spencer controlled the game on the offensive side, and Centers came in off the bench and executed his role perfectly. As usual, the Cooper defense was pretty darn good, even though Newport executed in 3 of 4 quarters and was able to score 70 on them, which was a little surprising.

Cooper certainly a top team in the state, and Sullivan has his guys ready to compete for another region.

Wasn’t blaming officials I just hate when they let them play in the first half but in the second they blew the whistle a lot more on the same bumps they let them play through in the first.
