I am sure Jefferson and Bieger will play up at Beechwood. If I was a betting man I would also say 2 or 3 of the 7th graders will play 8th..
With the legends coaches coaching beechwood now u still think Jefferson will play up?? I heard there coaching the 8th grade team
-
Yes Draud is a 7th grader. Is he at Beechwood?
Even prior to Jefferson, Beechwood was pretty good. Aiden Beiger is a solid player that doesn't get much attention because he didn't play club ball this year. But he's a really good point guard as well.
Watch it u mentioned a kid that's not on the legends u might get thrown of the site. It cracks me up how the only players ever mentioned play for the legends. Just to let everyone no there r a lot of other players in nky that r pretty good!!
-
Beechwood will have the best backcourt out of their starters. I do not know who they have after that, but Jefferson and Daud will be way ahead of the others in NKY.
I agree with Jefferson but draud? There r many guards in nky that r way better plus isn't he in the 7th grade??

I seen the SV team play the camp Ernst team in the AAU league at soas both r very similar to last year SV has two bigs one of them not real big but very athletic. Camp Ernest has one descent size kid but tall long guards
-
All 8th graders are eligible to be moved up. Conner girls moved 3 up last year.
U r correct but they have to play varsity not JV
-
This post has nothing accurate in it, if your going to post, get at least one thing half way correct or act like you know what your talking about!! This is not your regular athlete that is going to suffer from this situation, it will only make him better.
I don't no about the whole situation and I really don't care but Boone Cty board should make it to where all eighth graders r eligible to move up to JV not just one kid. I'm sure there r many athletes that could benefit from playing up not just one.

I don't no how he could make the jv team. In Boone Cty a eighth grader moving up to high school must play varsity and either be a starter or play significant time in varsity not jv
-
Not 100% sure I think he would do great in freshman ball
-
Yes your right I'm sorry I was just speaking about the boys but the Conner girls 8th grade r very good
-
In northern ky I believe highlands, camp Ernest, st. Prius and summit view should be fun to watch well I'm speaking about the eighth grade I don't no about 6 or 7

This will really change some rosters from year to year in the 15u age group in aau events I believe.I would definitely think it would!
-
Thanks I didn't no how that was gonna work out.
-
Yes
So if your kid is in 8th grade now and his bday is in August he would play 15u correct? But then next year when he's a freshman he would basically be in 15u again?
-
Keep in mind that the age rules are ONLY boys 8th grade (14U) and below.
It goes back to grade when your in high school correct?
-
I was at KBA Saturday for there top prospects camp and this whole merger between SSS and Ky premier was the talk of the camp between coaches it seemed like everyone I talked to and overheard thought this was a grand slam for both parties.

Bottom line if aau starts in March use that date not a date when the season is over. That's what all other sports go by is when the season starts!!
-
I agree but what about the kids that r 15 days to old?? Now there the young playing against kids that r 1 1/2 years older than little jonny.
-
Doesn't baseball go by the age of the child when the season starts?? Y not do it with aau basketball. It makes no since to make the cut off date in August when aau basketball starts in roughly March.
-
Gotcha. Thanks it should be interesting to watch these kids grow and mature on the court. It seems to me this 8th grade class has a lot of talent spread all around nky.
-
What about Grey, IHM, summit view, camp Ernest, grant Cty. R there any players to watch at those schools @justwannacoach
-
If he's 8th grade your probably talking about Michael Mayer yes he is a very skilled big man
-
I agree to see real talent u need to see the kids play against other players outside of school ball. It seems to me there is a lot of talent in nky in this class of 8th graders it's just scattered all over I've seen nice players on about every team but it's usually just one on each team that is light years above the rest
-
I no I seen a real good guard in clay county and a little spit fire from Calvary Christian it's a tall order to be better than those two guards but I'm just talking about ky not the whole Midwest

I get that I've watched them play since the fifth grade and your right draud did play a little with them. I'm just saying there r a lot more players in nky just as good as all the players mentioned
