  1. No matter what SK schedules unless all Louisville and Cincy schools they can't win on this site.

Louisville says their schedule is too easy and run their mouths after every game. A rumor comes out that they aren't scheduling HHS and beginning of the thread indicates a Louisville 6A but nky locals say they are ducking.

Everybody will find out eventually. And no matter what I am sure nobody will think it's good enough.

Run your mouths about teenage boys and their coach trying mold young man. I hope it makes all of you feel better about youselves and like you are still in high school.

  2. I know that but I don't want him to get frustrated going up against older bigger kids. Next year he should have a really good year. Once some of the older kids have to move up.

At his age it's not a big deal or difference. Sports of all Sorts AAU could be compared to Rec.

As they get older real AAU teams are tournament teams and typically play in leagues due to conflicts in schedule.

  3. OK your point is correct to a point. We played two louisville schools in the playoffs and and traveled south all over the state in the last two years, it's there opinion that he was better than anyone they seen in a long time. We also traveled acrossed the river to Cincinnati three times and his film has been seen by varsity coaches over there and they seem to think that he's probably the best on both sides of the water as they put it. I'm partial but the feedback has been garnered by independent sources not just mine and his coaches. Sometime in 7th and 8th you see the upward track of a kid starting. this kid was on the line untill 7th grade so this isn't a little league phenom, he's just starting to be a skill. I've seen younger kids that were good in peewee be good in ms, be good in hs. Not everyone fizzles out. I've seen many kid's who were small framed Rb's and killed it in little league and never even played in HS. they didn't have the size, So I don't always make statements lightly when saying a player is really good. Just a few nuggets. 6200 yards from scrimmage in two years, Rarely played the whole third and hardly ever played the 4th quarter. 94 td's, Selected to team Ky two years in a row. Only three to four RB's on that team so that's a nugget in itself. the kid is 5ft 9in, 175, runs a true 4.62 was just timed a week ago, ran it twice. Is in the weight room every day, runs track and plays basketball. is a good athlete in all the sports. His own coaches have said a kid like this comes around once or twice in there coaching lifetime. So yea he may be special. May be great, maybe be just above average, I don't think fizzeling out is an option. the where you are born or live is not a genetic code to how good you can be. I don't get that. but ok, I was born in Cincinnati and started varsity freshman, sophomore, junior years, moved to Florida and started senior year, his mother is from Florida and is half jamaican ( sprinters ). He also has a pro basketball. Amarie stoudemire, [video=youtube;mf-Dwhkw41Y]
ex Nfl RB Travis Henry and countless college athletes in the 1st cousin tree. so if living in Union is a handicap and not Louisville there is your locality of genetics infusion that shouldn't be such a hindrance to him. Time will tell if your right or most who have evaluated him are wrong. The kid is special you'll see.

Great response and cannot wait to see what he does in high school.

  4. From KBA Middle School State Tournament.....

    Round of 64:

Blessed Sacrament beats Clay County 55 - 47

    Beechwood beat Bernheim 54 - 27

Gray falls to East Berstadt 44 - 31

    In round of 32:

    Blessed Sacrament beats Boyd 48 - 36

Beechwood gets drilled by Hopkinsville 57 - 29

Blessed Sacrament moves to Round of 16 in Championship bracket and Beechwood moves into the Gold Bracket on Sunday.

Good luck Beechwood and Blessed Sacrament

  5. The "play in" should be 6/7 imo. That way all kids get a chance in a minuscule 14 team league. Otherwise, kids play 20-25 games for no reason, essentially.

If they brought back districts to these conferences, or divisions and you play in a district/division-esque tournament and that is what begins the post season, that's fine. But, having only one tournament, in a league with few teams, all should play. Just my opinion. Last years set up was nice.

1 bye. 6/7 play in game

    2 v. 5 (legit benefit of being a 2 seed)

    3 v. 4

I look at Twenhofel for example. A team playing its best ball in its 2 years of MS gets no shot. And, they beat Holmes who is the 4 seed (7th grade). I know you shouldn't look at one matchup.

My opinion is the regular season should be about player progression and team progression, not solely winning games. These kids are still at a very fundamental age.

Sounds completely illogical to me. That said, I hope it's a great tournament and good luck to all teams.

Completely agree, and thought it worked well last year. Disappointing they changed it and some teams now get no tournament.

Just stating what I saw in the bracket as to why 4/5 are playing same conference.

  6. Wondering why in the brackets (boys).... that the 4/5 seeded games aren't cross-seeded with opposing conference. It's not that way in the rest of tournament...

    What's the logic?

Could it be that the 4 v 5 game is more of a play in game?

If so they the next round with all remaining teams are all still crossed as 1 v 4/5 and 2 v 3 games.
