  1. I get what you're saying man and I as well as many others, will disagree and I've seen your Northern Kentucky girls on the top 25 play this summer and again, spoke to them and their families, and they have D1 offers, some more than one. So I'm not catching your drift. This is about the list and the list only, throwing names around over and over and over doesn't make a player the best player in the region or the state. You may want everyone that knows nothing about Northern Kentucky to believe that but I'm sorry, these are not the best players in your region and I will not go into why. Northern Kentucky has players that you may think are really really really good. But college coaches care about skill, athleticism and heart, period. That is what the list is really about.
  2. Why so defensive. I was just helping you out since I figured you had not seen all the kids play this summer and didn't know every player in Kentucky. As a coach I choose to acknowledge hard work and applaud those who are recognized. My bad. Carry on.
  3. Aly Johnson - already committed to Bucknell (D1) I would assume that would qualify as "College Potential". She in the "second 25"??? This is especially puzzling with another name that lands in front of her in the "second 12" Forgot to address this. Just for clarification every player in the second 12 has received a college offer and some more than one. If you have not noticed they are mostly seniors. But again, when the player and her family decides to tell the world where their kid is committing, then it will be up for discussion.
  4. I'm curious to know who everyone thinks attended the Bolus Camp? Here is a list of all the campers. It does not appear the top of the list players attended. Rick Bolus High Potential He has also posted evals from everyone in attendance. http://www.angelfire.com/ky/prephoops/1617/2106_HPBMC_Analysis.pdf
  5. I was under the impression that you were a Northern Kentucky expert? Do you know for sure the recruitment stage of every girl on the list since not all are from Northern Kentucky? I can assure you as I previously stated, some of the girls with D1 offers have not made their decisions public or announced or still waiting to narrow top 5, which I would say is pretty good for college potential if you have to narrow your choices. Every girl in the first and second 12 are sitting on college offers, some have even verbally committed, yes all of them. It's their family decision to decide when to make the announcement. So I'm not sure why you think they should they be ranked lower vs. the names you mentioned. Have there been college offers to the names you mentioned? Also, how many of the girls on the list have you seen play over the summer? I personally coached over the summer and have seen every last one of these girls play. I also have also spoken to lots of parents from Northern Kentucky and other regions at College camps over the last few weeks and know for a fact the the ones on the top 25 are sitting on D1 offers. Maybe college coaches see more than the BGP members do, which I think is more important than the list.
  6. I think I've noticed that the support of your AAU program has tons to do with that. Not every kid on the list had their name fed to every college in America and most didn't play on the same big stage but still managed catch someone's eye. So kudos to those girls that made the list, that never been to a Bolus camp and clearly have college potential. I know three girls on this list with D1 offers that just have not blasted it out to the public yet until they've decided. If they have offers, someone's noticing.
  7. This was a little different than other transfers. Three schools in Three Years, Zero bona fide change of address. I would say it had a lot to do with any unfavorable ruling.
  8. Also, everyone should take into consideration that some players get better and are seen in the summer after and during transformation. So Bolus preseason rankings are not surprising. Some of these players we haven't seen since March and just because someone was really good in 9th grade or last year doesn't mean others did not work hard, mature, or whatever and are now maybe better than the usual names we all hear. Sometimes a player gets too comfortable being a hometown hero and doesn't work as hard the others or doesn't rise to the occasion during evaluation period and they don't stand out as they do in high school due to competition. Also, i've seen coaches like Eastern quote Bolus rankings in a players bio. So apparently some college coaches know who he is. Its not about the team or what certain individuals/fans think. It's about getting your kid noticed and 90% of that comes from their hard work. If some of these girls have never attended a Bolus camp but are on the list, I'm ok with it. He captured KY.
  9. Exactly my thoughts. Bolus attends events just like the other scouting services. It's not just about his camp.
  10. Im fine with Bolus too actually. just tired of everyone complaining so referred them to the big scouting services. ESPN makes a good point, you must get their attention, doesn't matter what team you"re on. They see lots of girls play that are not ranked. Also, those KY girls did not get ranked as a result of KY Premier. Stinson and a few others do not even play for KY Premier. But every player that plays for whatever team in the USA has an opportunity to get noticed by them. It doesn't matter the team and that's proven by the rankings.
  11. No. I Personally know several girls on that list that never attended. Also his camp was held same week as Battke in Boro. Can't think of one real ball player from Kentucky that was not in Nashville the week of his camp. Lots of these girls never attended, some may have.
  12. I hear ESPN is the most reliable and most respected. Here's a link you can view by graduation year and by state. 2017 2017 High School Girls' Basketball Recruiting Prospects - ESPN 2018 2018 High School Girls' Basketball Recruiting Prospects - ESPN 2019 2019 High School Girls' Basketball Recruiting Prospects - ESPN The list doesn't go past this date but it does list by state.
  13. I saw the same thing. Campbell is not top 10, at all! They have two players and the game I saw, Clos could not handle pressure and hardly scored, if at all. She also had no one to pass to without Jolly and Kramer. Sorry Campbell fans but this is true. I agree with RCC, they are not even top 20 this year.
  14. Congrats Maddie! Also, I believe she plays with 14u-Cann. So she is playing her age group.
  15. No, She transferred from Grant due to her affiliation with the Shining Stars and/or Foust who was her only coach while at NDA.
  16. if she's 18 I'm not sure guardianship would be necessary, would it? If I remember her story correctly, the family made the decision to hold her back in middle school to play varsity as an 8th grader. I thought I heard she would be 19 in July. So she could possibly go where she wants if she moved out.
  17. That is correct, you can pay tuition but the family couldn't use financial reasons for the transfer. I have a question, with NDA not currently having a head coach to dispute the transfer, will this come down to timing? Or is does the KHSAA determine eligibility anyway?
  18. Actually I referenced previous post and posts 44,45, 47 & 54 reference the words "he" and "assistant". Again, my apologies, I should not have assumed you read the conversation before making your post.
  19. Oh and I didn't see Ms Richey nor was I referring to her. I saw Mr. Richey at the games. I've never seen her there Just to clear that comment up that you took off the grid. I believe the comments in this thread referenced Mr. Richey, and it does say assistant coach. My apologies.
  20. I am Not bitter at all. I sincerely believe NDA will be a better team. Now I didn't see chaos in the defense like you're saying but maybe I should watch film and I referenced riherds cause the numbers also show that not only were there missed opportunities due to forced shots, but there were players with better shooting percentages that were capable of scoring. But again, in mine and others opinions, it is a popularity contest. And HHS now has an interest so I understand your comments. However, it's just my opinion and to me an all around player is better than just an offensive player and in my opinion the coach wanted her to be the play maker. So I could see how you would think that if she was constantly pressured to make the play. I'm my opinion Miles was an all around player and seasoned. Do you feel Martin "carried" miles? I don't, then again Miles wasn't made promises to transfer. I'm not going to get into the particulars, but like I said, it was a popularity contest and still is. Too many coaches are in the high school-AAU loop together and that's just the way it is. Again, What all around player doesn't rebound or have solid defense. If there was so much chaos in the defense, why didn't NDA make it out of districts and lose in first round? That's all she was able to play was defense in districts if you recall. As I previously stated, NDA will be fine. Everyone lost players this past year. Good luck to her and Highlands.
  21. Ok, I don't normally but I must say something. First, I think NDA will be a better team. I feel it was pretty obvious that Martin transferred due to her affiliation with the Stars and Coach Foust. With that said, it was important for her to be the "play maker" by the coach. I believe there is loads of talent at NDA that won't be denied an opportunity so she can score. She had most attempts for scoring (around 400 or so) and only shot around 30%.(riherds). Doesn't that say something? Also there was no rebounding or defense I believe Riherds has her for 50 rebounds for the year. I wouldn't call that the best player. So in reference to the all conference comment, It's really just a popularity contest with coaches votes anyway. Heck, were the HHS girls on the list? But we know they had good players. So all conference? Again, popularity contest. Especially when you're constantly forcing bad shots. For those reasons, I believe we will be fine. Also, I know that coach Foust and Richey are close, both are with Martin as well. I have seen Richey this summer at events sitting on the bench or watching her play. So There is a connection and even Twitter will show you that. But to each his own. I hope HHS allows her to be the "play maker" like Coach Foust did. I think we all kinda feel it's the reason for her transfer. Good luck to her at HHS. Heck, maybe coach Foust will join her there.
