I'm not doing that at all. I was just asking a question based on a comment that was written. And that was the JV and the Frosh was going to have to step up to the plate. In seeing what they have done this year my friend we have trouble. These games you can watch on you tube and also other sites as I have for the ones I have missed and we are in MAJOR trouble. Just about all the games I watched either in person or on the computer had me shaking my head. This is highlands future players need I remind you.

I know exactly who you are talking about. And I would never up talk my son. All I am simply saying is he is good and I do believe he will start this coming year. He doesn't care what position it is. He is always on D line but has done the O line also. He has also went other ways. Not to put any child down what so ever but if the talent isn't with the up coming classes such as frosh, soph or jun as is what has been said why not take the best no matter what grade they are.

Injury is just part of the game. Hope for the best but also know it could happen. I hope he get's playing time is all I can say. guess time will tell

Once the football season starts back up my son will be considered a soph and will be permitted to practice with everyone else. I'm a very proud parent and I know my son will be starting THIS coming year. He was always a starter in the FTJFL and I know he will excel and succeed at the varsity level but if he doesn't that will be ok also.

I think they need to worry about playing. Earning stripes is something officers do not football players. And when you see a frosh out on the field then I will laugh and say hmmmm

I agree but in reading this paper the frosh or jv did not do well at all. So that makes all wonder.Which is why parent's are talking at a local pub. Get some liquid in adults talking football and boy oh boy you hear alot

Not necessary. If the coach see's potential in a frosh boy they could be played. Someone on here just said so. And why does that bother you so much? As far as I can remember, there have only been 2 frosh that have lettered at Highlands. This is not the FTJFL we are talking about, this is varsity football. On a side note, why don't you just quit beating around the bush and come out of the closet and tell us what you really want to hear. Next years senior class finished with the same record as this years senior class in frosh ball. They lost 1 game as soph's on the JV and many many saw significant action at the varsity level this year. I would foresee kids playing both ways before a frosh steps in to see significant minutes.

That sounds like some of what I over heard the parents saying at dinner one night at a local pub. Said this would be the last win for sometime. Which had me asking the questions I did. If a frosh is better, stronger and bigger than a soph, jun, or sen would he have a chance to prove it. I know their are a lot of frosh little birds who are able and willing to step up to the plate and play hard. A lot of the Frosh boys are bigger than the up coming jun kid's

Also you have Brady Gosney who did a great job. I think he will be a soph if memory serves me correct.

So it is misinformation that a well talented child even if they are a frosh will not have to sit back if they can out form a soph, jun, or senior? I"m glad to know that. I prefer golf rather than football so it is something new for me at this level. Nothing like FTJFL

I agree when Highlands lost everyone thought the sky fell. However I was told even if your child is a strong player in his frosh year he still has to sit back and wait his turn? No I'm not up with all this football program dialog and I'm trying my best to learn.

No sir no name throwing here. Just seems as if we are or can be in trouble this coming year from what is being said in the papers. My only question was how many boy's was we losing. I have seen some JV and Frosh games I think we may see some Frosh stepping up is all I will say

I agree with the Austin Hergott , and also Nick. Nick is a awesome player as was shown this year.
