  1. I agree with Call it Like it is most of the top talent in NKY and throughout the state have reclassed at some point and there is nothing saying this cant be done. Since we are talking 2023 class and Meyer specifically, yes he is older but when looking at some of the top talent in the 2023 class, Reed Sheppard, Ryan Davidson, Ayden Hamilton, Colin Porter, Jack Edelen among others all have reclassed. I would assume that this is pretty common with all classes and not just the 2023. Congrats to Jake and the other Freshmen who are making immediate impacts for their teams!

  2. In response to DukeDog. I agree based off the head to head and St. Henrys overall resume they should be #2, however I do understand why PP1 would have Conner #2.

I doubt anyone that didnt see this game would know Conner was without a starter who averages 8points and leads team in rebounding. Not sure if this would've made a difference in this game but I do think it would provided another scoring threat and a extra body to compete against St. Henrys dynamic duo.

In addition Conner has only two losses this year when having everyone available (Cov Cath and Harvest Prep).

I dont think any team not named Cov Cath would see this as a dream match up come regional if both are fortunate enough to make it that far.

  3. First for me also!

It was quick and honestly I didn't leave there thinking either team had issue with how game was called. Perhaps the limited amount fouls is because style of play. HC gives you a lot of zone looks and little to NO man to man defense. It would be interesting to know if this has historically been the case with HC this year. I know this should be for a different thread, sorry!

  4. Schwartz did not play! I don’t know exact minutes but if i were to guess Niece played 3 quarters or little more. It’s really clear that He isn’t a 100% yet. In my opinion I think he played to much in a very physical game that had little meaning as a non district, non region game. Best of luck to him as he continues to make his way back.

  5. I think we will know more after the scrimmages but I anticipate the following 8th graders to get meaningful varsity minutes some point this year:

    1) Kayla Unkraut- Villa- Top 8th grader in NKY and one of the top in state!

    2) Sarah Baker- Ryle

    3) Julia Hunt- Holy Cross

    4) Anna Hamilton- Conner

    5) Ballyshannons outstanding 8th grade class has brought several up to JV and Fresh, I wouldn't be surprised to see one of two getting minutes at some point.
