What an idiotic post. The majority of HS football programs are not "lazy". Especially HHS...No kid in the HHS program is "along for the ride". It's simply a matter of genetics and DNA. HHS is simply in a period where the "studs" are no longer. Your double see's "a lot of skinny hips and legs..." because that's the road of life. How dare you disrespect children or parents that you don't know nor will ever know. I'll bet you HHS works harder now, in the weight room and on the field, than the vast majority of the teams that they play. But when you lack the studs of the past, you still come up short. Every kid on the past HHS teams up to now, even if they are entitled and privileged, leave that off the field and simply show up w/ respect and play ball. You are correct about one thing...hard work and precision will bring back the title(s)...in due time.

The reality of Bird ball is, if they had a starter or backup QB, as they've had the last 6-8+ years, Birds would be scoring points. Receivers are constantly open but Hergot has no ability to judge speed or distance. I love HHS but the reality is just that...

like i said. Hergot will never see a snap at QB. Nor will he ever see a snap at TE

That's just a true Bluebird...no matter how bad...the good is always on top. That's why I'm proud that my child lived that life. Yes sometimes it seems like bs but that is why this program will always end up on top. Persistence,Desire,Attitude,& nothing but positive outlooks. Never settle for second best. As rough as the time ahead may be, they will be back 7 sooner than later.

I do not know when Dale decided to do what he did. In 2011, the statement of 4 more state titles came out of his mouth. I assumed he would be the one at the helm. He knew that the title for 2015 was the birds to win...and win...big...they did!!! under coach bw. Doesn't matter what coach Mueller did or didn't do...or when he decided. He did what he did! He's forever on top of the mountain. Had he coached at ANY other school, they would have reaped many rewards also. Withrow loves him for turning there program around in one season.

Please don't take offense jpa...I heard straight from Muellers mouth that after 4 titles they would attain 4 more. I simply took that to mean he would see that through...I do believe that he "gave" a state title to BW, knowing that the coming seasons would be lean on true talent...and never did I say Birds were all done, I'm simply saying what everyone else is saying...anyone who can put up the points...will, and that time looks to be starting... I am more than honored to have had my child go through the education and the athletics at HHS. Top notch program(s) w/ top notch life learning coaching. Too bad the majority of the HHS crowd doesn't truly root & holler for their team like most...on a continuous basis(football speaking). KY football is way too watered down w/ too many classes.

After 4 straight state titles, Dale told numerous people(parents) that HHS would have 4 more. Had he won in 2014, he would have stayed, knowing that he would have another... But since they lost, he decided to retire, knowing full and well he was still on the top of the mountain of HS football coaching. And thus allowing his new head coach and long time friend, enjoy a state title, "before the bottom falls out." HHS has(had) one of the best football feeder programs around...he had known for some time of what was "not" coming. Wells go dry sometimes... Nothing about being "a cowards way out" Simply leaving when still on top. Michael Jordan could have played many more years, why didn't he? Stupid question I know, but so is the "Dale" question. Birds will be lucky to be a .500 team for some years to come.(but I don't know how weak the competition will become?)
