  1. Well, we are going see how far we can take it this year. Maybe next year is our big year. But watching the young men work, they are not buying the notion that they can't win. I'm not either. See ya on the other side of the field !
  2. I guess you guys wont listen or won't comprehend the fact that the culture has changed. While we have retained some good qualified coaches, the program is being ran differently. All the kids get reps in practice they are all being developed. This system is not being set up to have one superstar I.E. Elliot, carry the team. Engler is very capable, and well aware of the importance of developing the underclassmen. Ryle for the most part has always had talent here, just like all the other schools have it. They were underdeveloped and under coached. Poor offensive philosophy and unpleasant playing conditions were contributors to the spiral down. There was a reason Warner lost his job. Do you think they would hire a coach to do the same things? The talent is there to win now. Don't be surprised when it happens. Just remember we told you so.
  3. Nope. Engler H.C. and ARVIN O.C. are new, Belk is not back and the rest of the staff is back with another addition that I forget his name but he is the strength and conditioning coach. The Offense is be handled by Engler and Arvin. Woolf is the D.C.
  4. Juniors and sophomore have been the best groups they have had as classes go, judged by wins and losses and total numbers of athletes in those groups. They have been very good as they came up in 7th,8th 9th and now they will mostly all be on varsity. I think the next two years will be full of growth and a good period the Raiders.
  5. I may be off a few but I believe it's broke down pretty close to 54 in 9th, 40 soph. 38 junior, 15 seniors.
  6. Good luck to both teams and both programs. An old famous quote " that's why we play the game gentlemen."
  7. WOW such haters... So you timed all the skill players and that is an accurate statement. I know it's not. Why are you so die hard set on Coach Engler failing?
  8. You are right. the talent cycles. You have some good classes and some not so good classes. We went through a down turn and are on the swing back up. This year will stand to correct you opinion. Now SK is probably going to be competitive but your year was last year. You lost too much. By the way Ryle has about 150 kids in the program so I think the new philosophy is going to pay off. Numbers don't lie. If you can remember SK was not that good looking back to the very short past, so don't be so king of the mountain minded. Except for a few local programs, you don't get to sit up there long. Not a knock on your program just a historical view of HS football in NKY.
  9. I find it laughable that before the first kickoff SK is undefeated, unbeatable and state champs.?
  10. Old news, Old team. I would argue that there was never an effort to develop Qb's before now. As I said in our thread Engler has a proven track record of developing kids to D1 schools. Out of Over 150 kids in the program he will find a few that can play.
  11. Engler Has a PROVEN track record of developing Qb's and a high quality fast break offense.
  12. young QB's are not usually given audible power, and not many can competently scan the box to see numbers. (This isn't about Ryle. But thanks for the cheap shot, I'm sure you had to instead of arguing a point.) Just pointing out what you will have to face from all your opponents.
  13. Complete turn around. This is not the same teams as the last couple of years. I've read some of the outrageous posts about how they are going to beat the Raiders this year.... All I can say is the circus want their clown back.
  14. Was, Ryle's offense. Now it's SK's problem to deal with.
