I know its tit for tat but for the record, Wallace decided to pay Blackman to buy out the contract. The funds that were used undoubtedly would have normally been used to advance the football program. Whether it came from he school general fund, or the school football fund or the booster club fund is no matter. As for the rest of that, I'll just assume that I have made my point to most and move on.

My son was one of those players and he is most certainly not classless or a thug. They were criticized for running through Bowling Greens entrance. "Before the game, the Blackman players ran through and cut short Bowling Green’s entrance onto the field." - BG Daily News At the beginning of the game, the boys had no idea where to run to. In TN, every stadium we have played at for years has a visitors side. When the team is away, the boys meet on that side of the field and run the length of the field in front of their fans. At BG, the team tried to run to us where we were seated on the far end of the bleachers and as the two teams ran out at the same time, things got discombobulated. I have already addressed the difference in the "spirited play" that the referees in TN allow. At half time, our team made a big stop and we went into half excited with the lead and running out to the locker room was again a discombobulated mess. It was around that time that several girls in our band had nachos and cheese thrown on their uniforms by BG fans who were already convinced of our thuggery. And put yourself in the shoes of Blackman. You travel to TN and your team gets TWELVE flags thrown on them. One for overzealous celebration / taunting after an interception to end the half or one for just touching the referee and tell me if you wouldn't feel similar. McCallie had 16 flags the other night? I hope the best for the kids and fans at BG. You are right, we will need all the luck we can get with Maryville. You talk about streaks and records? Maryville has 6 losses in the last eleven years. They have the best ten-year record in high school football in the USA. Good luck to you.

With all due respect to your military service and all, that is BULL CRAP. YOU came out and called me blind and mistaken when I said Wallace had canceled the contract and bought out the game. And until you put up, I'll advise you (rightly so) to shut up. What do you mean that he didn't cancel the game or buy out the contract? Are you serious? Guess what? the game was cancelled, by Wallace, and Blackman got paid $5K by Bowling Green. You seem to have plenty of time to dish it out and I'll admit, while I'm not here to make new drinking buddies, I will continue to defend our kids and point out the cheap antics of your coach and some of the referees in KY. And again, with all due respect to your service and advanced medical condition, I do have a right to post and offer opinion and I'll continue to do so until I am tired of it. If you dont like it, dont post back. Now, if you want me to believe anything other than Wallace was scared to come to TN and get exposed, it is YOUR burden to produce the article you spoke of.

The music to my ears was hearing that a TN team was responsible for breaking the win streak...at BG's home field....on homecoming. :banana:

They were solidly 2nd best in 6a last year. Not better than Ensworth and one or two others but certainly top 5 overall.

That's literally the dumbest thing I have heard yet..... I didnt plead anything. I said that KY teams seem to be playing in a more delicate environment. Thats my opinion. AND I have said and will continue to say that your coach completely diminished the reputation of your program by cancelling out on the game here in TN with Blackman. You know that's true. PERIOD. When I still think about it, all I can think of is the KY fans who called our kids Thugs and classless when YOUR coach was the one screaming at the refs at halftime acting like a (donkey) when it was apparent that his team was getting pushed around. Im tired of hearing the crap about our kids running through the Purple area and disrespecting y'all. The "facilities" are screwed up with no visitor section so who knows where they should run when coming or going. Look at the film....it's obvious. And our guy was held accountable for his actions on the field. He was suspended two games...just like anyone else. My point was that 17 year old kids make mistakes. I'll assume that trend will continue.

Hardy was pulled down by the facemask and he lost his temper. He's 17. I'm glad y'all got to see our team play on national TV. If you saw that game, you saw what football looks like week in and week out here in TN.. I like the scrappy, physical play.

As Antwan pointed out, the rules are the same. What it seems like to me is that TN plays a more scrappy brand of football than what KY refs and fans are accustom to. It's common here in TN to see a little pushing and shoving as well as some jawing with no repercussion from the referees. When Blackman was in KY, The band couldnt even play like they do down here.

Well I declare!! I am just SHOCKED to hear that a TN team was flagged so much!
