  1. Heard TNHS didn't get a lot of help from the stripes down the stretch until the offensive foul call on Goodin to give the Generals the ball back with 1.8 left.

You are correct. Refs made a bad offensive call on the big boy for TN to foul him out, which was huge because he made you alter your shots in the paint tonight. Was challenging everything, and winning at that. But the Goodin call at the end was huge. Gave TN one last shot. Just couldn't capitalize. Gotta love this time of the year!

  2. Did you agree that the shot was after the buzzer?

It was a good second after the buzzer. However, I believe the refs missed a foul call at the end of the game. TN shot the ball from the corner with 1.8 seconds left and Webster was all over him. Webster even reacted like he heard the refs blow the whistle for a foul. However the whistle was just to end the game.

  3. Agreed!

    Indiana much!?!? LOL

  4. I wasn't there and didn't witness anything, but my point is that it looks like sour grapes on Campbellsville's part. I'm told that the Campbellsville coaches made a scene. Not condoning the mocking (and should be addressed by Taylor County coaches, not Campbellsville), but I would expect an alleged adult coaching staff member to handle themselves better.

On another note, shaking hands is the farthest thing from displaying sportsmanship. How you play the game and how you act is better criteria for sportsmanship. I believe that was the point KHSAA was trying to make when they said it was OK not to shake hands.

Well if you weren't there, I'm done talking.

  5. Where is the leadership of Campbellsville during all of this? Too many coaches are not held accountable for their immature actions. From the outside looking in, they scored a whopping 52 points (a girls game score) against a team that can't play defense, get their butts handed to them by 30, and then want to discipline the winning team by showing no class and saying they were mocked? If attitude reflects leadership, then why doesn't Campellsvill leadership tell their coaches to shake hands, keep their mouths shut and worry about their own team. This isn't the first time in the history of sports that a losing team played the old "they have no class" card. I guess when you get beat by 30 and can't blame it on lack of coaching, you go this route. And by the way, the KHSAA says they don't have to shake hands.

If I'm not mistaking, I'm pretty sure the coaches of campbellsville did shake their hands. Hm don't know where you got that from. If you beat a team by 30, there's no reason for you to go through the line mocking their coach. You shake their hands and say good game and that's it.

  6. It's the responsibility of the head coach to make sure their players say nothing in the line. Tim Davis not once got in the kids face, he was just saying show some class as he continued walking. Taylor county has been like that all year, classless. They are very cocky because they went undefeated in a weak 5th region while avoiding the top 4 teams in the region. Then you see from example what happens when they do play tough teams (Hoptown/Lincoln). If they win Region I'd be shocked.

  7. Nothing makes it okay for the player to act that way. But just because he did, doesn't make it okay for the coach to react that way either. The coach is supposed to be the adult. He is supposed to be sending an example for his team. Just because someone says something to you does not give you the right to react. So if he wants to talk about class, he should start with himself and not let the words of the child insite him to say anything. If you want to say something to the other coach about it in private after the game then so be it. That's the professional way to handle the situation. Yelling at somebody after a heated game on the court in front of everybody and almost causing a riot between other coaches and players is definitely not the way to do it.

The coach of the player who was mocking should be the one to show by example, not the one who was mocked. The assistants of Taylor county were as well getting in the faces of assistants of Campbellsville for just asking a simple question. Then we wonder why the kids act that way. To go along with it, Taylor county is up 30 with a min to go with starters in the game. With all rivalry aside, at this point in the season, you're playing for a championship. Not rivalry. What happens if Wiggington or Goodin gets hurt?? No one to blame but the coach. Show some class.
