  1. That may have been true recently but I think that will change soon with the new coaching staff and the huge influx of young talent. I think last night they only started 3 seniors.
  2. I have heard the coach's poll in N. Ky had: 1- CCH 2- Boone 3 - Brossart Not sure if that is correct or not. I'd put CCH at 4 or 5 quite frankly and Boone/Highlands as 1 & 2.
  3. Curious if that info is correct about both scores coming from 40 yards. A keeper getting beat from that distance twice in a game is not good. I think in the end, Highlands and Boone will be tough teams to beat because they have the best senior talent in the area.
  4. Sounds like a good win for Boone coming from behind to beat Henry Clay. Other than Uleland, who is probably one of the top players in the state, I don't know what Henry Clay has on their team. Anyone see the Ryle loss to Dunbar?
  5. I think Ryle opens with Dunbar. Dunbar should be one of the stronger teams, if not the strongest, in Lexington. Should be a good indicator of the strength of N. Ky soccer this year. If I had to predict it.........my guess is that Ryle gets beat handily but who knows.
  6. Boone County, CCH and Ryle all had very strong teams last year and there are probably a couple others that I didn't mention. I don't think there is a team that is nearly as good as any of those three this year. Young talent is fine and yes, there is a lot in N. Ky but championships/big games are won by senior-laden teams typically. I should say teams that have talented seniors not just any team with a bunch of seniors. Most of the top notch teams from last year graduated big, talented senior classes. Who has that this year?
  7. Seems like way too much stock put into Soccerrama results, but that happens every year. Might want to play some actual games before getting too excited with winning a scrimmage game where a lot of kids play who normally may not even see the field. Brossart was thoroughly dominated in the first half of that game by what is really just an average CCH squad. Colonels look to have some issues with scoring this year after the loss of a talented senior class.
  8. Another article about N. Ky boys soccer today in the Enquirer. No offense but this seems to be shaping up as a really weak year for soccer teams in N. Ky. Some good seniors but really not a whole lot out there. I'd guess that Highlands and Boone may be the top contenders. http://nky.cincinnati.com/article/AB/20130814/SPT0302/308140150/Graduations-shake-up-boys-soccer-field
